Travis Johnstone

Travis Johnstone has been selected to play Saturday night against the Dogs.

I certainly hope he does, it would be good to see him up & around. Classy footballer.

What is everyone else's thoughts?

Will he play?

Yeah he'll play I would've thought.

Adds a bit of class to an ordinary midfield at the moment. Might free up McLean a little as TJ warrants a tag.

Yes hopefully our most classy midfielder can have a strong game and I think he will play.

Will free up Mclean because Johnstone warrants opposition best tag. Which is good because Travis knows how to deal with a tag, his silky skills always surpass physical pressure.

Should have an impact on the game and I hope we can get a good win.

He has been included into the side.

So unless he pulls up sore after the warm ups he will play for sure!

I really hope he doesn't do the kicking in, and if he does i really hope he has his kicking boots on (most likely those pretty red boots he wears!!! LoL)

Dont really see why he (trav) wouldn't...

Unless he gets a bad haircut on sat...?

Anything can happen, I didn't think carroll's could get anyworse until I saw sundays game

Thing is though, choppers hair cuts suit him!

Sure does!

Jeff White should shave his head again like the good old days.

He looks to much like Jim Carrey!

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
