3d Graphics & Merch ideas - for fun - to soothe a battered w/e

As the title suggests. Artworks only - not for distribution (though the figures would be great to 3d print)

Chin needs more chin

When I hear '3D graphics' I still think of those little 'hologram' cards which would change between two images as you viewed it from different angles.

So now I want one of those but, say with a Pickett (Pick either) zagging and throwing off defenders, or the Gawn tackle, of course.

And I know that the tackle wouldn't have done the job fully if Steele hadn't been there to follow up, but that's why it is a team game and Gawn doing the awesome thing made the decisive result possible, okay?

Yep LG, holograms are not really 3d graphics. They're photographs/images formed by the interference of light, motion parallax and other nasty descriptors and technical speak - to boggle the mind into thinking we are seeing a 3d object or scene on a plane/plain surface like a card.

The bobblehead images here are 3d graphics or CGI (computer generated images) made from 2d picts, that I could make a 3d cad file for printing (the caricatures) in the real world.

To make a hologram, as you describe it, would be easier to do in the 'real world' physically than to reproduce here in the digital world (on a computer monitor). It's not rocket science to do and I'll look into a work flow to achieve what you are describing.

In an aside, if you look into what the AFL were/are trying to do in capitalising on the NFT craze (non-fungible tokens) here at (https://www.aflmint.com.au) you can see some examples of 3d and 2d images put into 'products' they're trying to [censored].

Alas, I'm not convinced by the AFL's efforts (much like their official bobbleheads and other products & merch they produce) as being any good.

I'll look into what you're suggesting, as I'd like to see exactly what you're talking about whereby we can have a card or a computer file to revisit/re-live a moment in action via a physical hologram or a 3d graphic file. A collection of those moments presented in a novel way would be fun ) thx for the thoughts.

What's more "King" TRA? Save from a King's crown on his head or a cheeky grin on his boat race (face)? LMK if you have any ideas.

Cheers

It was just me being silly, SS (that's my MO, I guess?!) I suppose I did have 'something to elevate him' as a basis for my silliness. So a crown would do it!

Separately, a cheeky grin would be defining, too: he often has that little half-of-mouth-raised look.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
