Hopefully you get enough notice if TMac is in. May not have had the impact of Max but has been a brilliant servant of the club for a long time and deserves the kudos for reaching 250.

Milestone matches on a Sunday are always gonna be tricky, and we have many Sunday matches this season. Usually we know the selections on Thursday while we’re making the banner but in round one for example we made the majority of it on the Thursday but had to come in again to finish it on the Saturday when we knew for sure Tmac wasn’t playing.

Ideally Max and Tmac would have separate games for their 250th. It’s such a monumental achievement.

I agree with this. Potentially takes the shine off each player's milestone.

But I can't see how T Mac doesn't play this week with Turner out.

Petty needs another tall defender to support him down back. As we saw last week, Petty wasn't able to back Max up in the ruck and therefore JVR had to be the second ruck which disturbed his game.

Plus Petty had a really rough game without a fellow key defender in the last 3 quarters. I don't consider Lever as a traditional key defender.

Really hope we can get the job done over Carlton. I’m so sick of losing to that club since the 2023 semi final (also funny how last year we played them their MC was still talking about that 2023 semi final win) Also a fact we haven’t played a home game against Carlton since that 23 semi final so 3 years without a home game against them. Carlton have had a the wood over us for a few years now and to make it more frustrating they’ve only beaten us by small margins. Hope all dees fans get down to the G on Sunday to show the boys supporter and more importantly show the love to Maxy on his 250th game and hoping TMac can play alongside him for his 250th as well. Hopefully dees will do something social at our next home game for them as this is an away game for us. Go Dees ❤️💙

It will depend on how the game flows. Last week in the 2nd and 4th quarters and the week before when we moved the ball in quickly we were able to score opportunistic goals from Sharp, both Picketts, Fritsch, Culley, Chandler and the midfielders. JVR was able to lead into space and Mihocek was able to out body one on one. When it came in slow or was crowded the opposite happened. Will be interesting to see which version we get next week.

I would interchange L.Pickett with Mathews after the Carlton matches. We need to get seniors matches into both players and by dropping one back to Casey it should improve their confidence. If both do well later in the year then we could play both of them in the seniors.

Getting dropped will not help confidence. Might help with competence. We certainly shouldn’t gift games but bad teams do that, so we may do that.

I am all for players developing in the VFL. Maybe Latrelle playing AFL gives space for Matthews to develop in the VFL. He has a couple years on him.

We just don’t know.
