Farewell Steven May

Was an amazing defender at his peak!

Will always be remembered as a Demons Premiership player.

All the best for the next stage of your life 👍

Thanks for everything he did for us, a key player in our premiership and success while at the club. Will miss his innocent what did i do act...
Not unexpected given recent decisions. Wish him al the best, and I assume we'll see him running around in a team below AFL level.

Thank you, Steven, for providing the reason and material that has enabled this filling of these three pages (so far).

👏 on your career.

👏👏 on your career with us.

Easily the best full back we've had in my time watching the Dees (from the mid 90s).

Him and Lever could not be beaten in 2021 and for most of 2022 leading to coaches finding new game plans to go around them

The 2023 SF will always be remembered for the Acres goal, but if that Viney kick had got past Weitering, then that game would have forever been remembered by Dees fans as one of the greatest defensive masterclasses by a full back. May was unbelievable that night

This departure hurts compared to other departures recently.

If there was anyone you could visually tell was 100% giving his all as well as leading the backline purely from competitiveness it was Steven.

Absolute pillar of our success.

Fantastic reader of flight and mark of the ball.

Well never forget you mate.

That is a truly classy farewell message. He was a fantastic player, giving up height against his opponents week after week and beating them with superior bodywork and judgement.

Kozzy Pickett was the man of the match last week and has a vote lead over backup ruck Max Heath who didn't play this week and 5 votes over former Saint Jack Steele. Who gets the votes in this weeks shortened match win over the Tigers? Your votes please. 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 & 1.

It's Game Day and the 2026 AFL Premiership season is almost upon us as the Demons take to the field for their final practice match before the first ball is kicked in anger in 16 days time. What are you expecting to see from the Dees today as they take on the Tigers at Mars Stadium in Ballarat?
