Gig Guide

Featured Replies

Didn't want to dilute the Music Video Thread.

Sort of inspired by @Gorgoroth sharing his overseas travel/Gig plans .

I have had a ripper year including the following;

  • Khruangbin and Hermanos Gutierrez

  • Kasabian

  • The Hives

  • Pup

  • I Killed the Prom Queen

  • Jebediah

  • Oasis

  • Sam Fender

  • Parcels.

Oasis prob a top 5 gig of all time for me, helps I was well lubricated.

Parcels last week was one of most fun gigs I've attended, such a good vibe and solid tunes

Been a non-European festival year for me, managed to catch

Nervosa who were much better live than on vinyl.

Testament who rule live as always

Uada another intense band live, seriously one of the best

And saw Suicidal Tendencies, once again amazing.

Missed getting to Dark mofo and seeing Hulder and Spectral Wound. Also wish I had the money to catch Opeth.

still wild to me how many good acts Jay Weinberg has been in.

I’m afraid I’m pretty much unable to contribute to this topic as the only gigs I’ve been to in the last year, have been my own band’s 🤣

And it’s been so long since I’ve been to any real gigs of note…

Ryuichi Sakamoto & Alva Noto at the Sydney Opera House 2018

Nick Lowe & the Straitjackets at the Enmore Theatre (Sydney) 2020

Jenny Don’t & the Spurs at the Duke Hotel in Enmore (Sydney) can’t recall year, but maybe 2023

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

It was only a preseason match but the new look Demons spearheaded by new coach Steven King looked impressive as they put on a clinic against perennial cellar-dwellers North Melbourne as they cruised to an 80 point victory at Casey Fields.

  • TRAINING: Wednesday 18th February 2026

A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers were blessed with some beautiful Wednesday morning weather to give their observations of one of the final open training session at Gosch's Paddock prior to our first practice hit out against another team this weekend.
