It's not outside the question that the Eagles take him at pick 2 behind Duursma. I think my concern is we'd probably have to give up 3 first rounders to even get into the conversation and then it's a lot of pressure on him to deliver.

I think it was a possibility until the Ruck rules changed, canโ€™t see they not taking CDT now with one of those picks

How do you think the ruck rules help CDT?

I actually think if anything they slightly hurt him. Slightly fewer boundary throws in around the ground probably doesnโ€™t mean much either way. The not crossing the centre line might help a young ruck who can jump early in their career but medium/long term it just increases injury risk, and at 200cm without a great leap he probably ends up as a push and shove ruck more than a jumper.

Heโ€™s athletic and has a good tank which will see him have greater impact around the ground and also has the ability to follow up with second efforts sees a potential Luke Jackson down the track with better foot skills at this stage. Taking away the opposing ruckman just stepping across the line and outbodying him I will no longer be an issue it possibly was

ive convinced myself he goes at 3 to the eagles now

1 duurs

2 uwland bid

3 robey

@Turner I agree. If the Eagles think CDT is a huge risk, then Robey could be the #2 active pick in the draft. Unbelievable. For a youngster who wasnโ€™t even playing Coates League until halfway through 2025. Meteoric rise !! He is a young gun who has all the AFL tools to succeed. Though CDT does meet the Eagles needs for a young agile mobile skilled development ruck, so will be an interesting choice for WCE to make.
