Hate to disappoint you pf but that version is not correct, for instance the following players showed improvement -

Max +10%, Clarry +23%, Salo +13%

Bowey +36%, Kozzie +36%, Chin +31%

Disco +93%, Fritsch +41%, Petty +13%

Riv, JV, Ed, May = 2025

Tracc -15% on 2025, Judd -9%

Langford ️, Lindsay, Windsor and Culley have shown their able, whilst Kolt, Howes, Adams, JvR and Jeffo will all improve with another tough, hard preseason.

Milkshake, TMac deserve a contract and Rick if he can get his body right is excellent.

To my mind the stats do not support your statement regarding Goody, TJ and Lamb.

Fritch 41% improvement

That is based on his 2024 numbers and his 2025 numbers, he was recovering from a foot injury.

May - run his course

van Rooyen - failed to progress

Salem - reliable but slow

McVee - rarely displayed advancement

Petracca - definitely lost edge

Windsor - cruelled by injuries

Viney - grunt without skills

Lever - probably lost passion

Spargo - another without luck

Turner - excellent first half

Gawn - our only elite

Tholstrup - a serious underperformer

Oliver - rediscovered form late

Billings - only Casey standard

Langdon - often seemed distracted

Laurie - no coach’s favourite

Bowey - came of age

Melksham - some impressive performances

Langford - impressive and consistent

Lindsay - needs major preseason

Jefferson - rarely excited supporters

Howes - Casey form unreplicated

Rivers - occasionally displayed promise

McDonald - deserves another year

Adam’s - didn’t seal opportunities

Hore - injuries stymied progression

Sharp - rarely justified selection

Fritsch - excellent second half

Sparrow - continued just plodding

Fullerton - never nailed opportunities

Petty - out of position

Pickett - outstanding first half

Chandler - very inauspicious year

Johnson - rough but tried

Henderson - very few tricks

Culley - showed some promise

Well this is a surprise Joe. I agree with most however I think you are a little harsh on Salem and Adam’s only had one game. This year I am sad to say I have finally come to agree with you Sparrow. Why is his in the team?

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
