What a relief, we WERE officially robbed

They're going to introduce a 'new' rule where if the ball is shown to be touched before crossing the line, or if it is unclear and the umpires initial call was touched, then the umpire's call remains.

Just to give clarity for the future.

That's exactly what the rule is already.

But that isn't the issue here. 3 players attempted to touch the ball prior to crossing the line, yet only 2 of those were checked during the review. The one player that touched the ball was never looked at.

I was screaming at the tv at the time, sounds like a few were. It was not a fair review, in fact it was as if the reviewer was actively trying to avoid where the ball was touched.

There's enough evidence this season alone to prompt an AFP investigation into AFL umpiring, and I believe the same in the NRL. Make it happen.

How do we know that the club says nothing?

WHAT have you heard something different ?

if Goody spoke ad nauseum in pressers about how the umps are cheats,

WE all would have heard

That doesn’t seem new to me. I thought that is how it always was interpreted.

9/7/2025: AFL Umpiring officially passes the "Poe's Law" test and can now be registered as a religion.

And Marchbank finally comes clean and says he didn’t touch Petracca’s kick in 2023🤣

It didn’t cost us the Adelaide game, but the review system is [censored] embarrassing.

AFL would have to possess the worst system in world sport, NRL does it so much better.

They cost us the Adelaide game in 2021 rd 10 when the Crow player with 35 secs on the [censored] deliberately handballed out of bounds next to the point post. Not paid. there was uproar at the time

1 point loss

Umpires in Adelaide are useless.

And now the cheating continues. Keays (who kicked that goal) and Rachele have been fined for wearing metal studs. If Keays didn't have those studs on he wouldn't have made contact with the ball....more robbing😉

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
