Tx for the PC. Another insightful one in times when many of us are baffled.

The scary summation for me is the observation about how our backline is failing us. First the fwd line, then the MF and now this.

Despite my calls before this game of possibly moving May fwd....scrap this....we are in trouble in our defence department.

Mays's absence was very much obvious.

I thought Petty played well but he seemed alone. Maybe Bowey a little better than he's been but he needed to be.

The real issue is Lever and May both being injury prone. They are getting on in years. With having to move Disco fwd we are struggling everywhere.

And back to our forward line, it's no different.

In the PC , someone briefing touched on Max spending more time fwd. Just no for me. If he's not rucking he should be resting. And I'm sorry but he is just a terrible set shot. Up there with Tracca.

The p.c. was right about the form of Jvr. It's gone south further than Macquarie island so with him joining the company of Fritta, our backline struggling and our mids all over the shop, we are in for a good deal more pain.

PLEASE give me with something positive, no matter how small, on which I can pin my hopes in the lead up to GCS.  Thanks in advance Binnie!

May will likely make a return and we should play Fullarton.

Thanks for another insightful Pod guys.  It must be a tough gig after an inglorious performance by our team, but you called it as you saw it, and didn’t attempt to ‘sugar coat’ our performance.
Let’s hope that your job is made easier by a win over GCS next weekend!

For some reason I decided to give it a listen this week despite knowing what was coming but among the things I had to call out…

@george_on_the_outer Ballard is out for season mate — so don’t think he’ll be holding it down in “exactly what you need” as you stated!!! Also Majak Daw NEVER played so much as ONE single game for MFC.. not ONE mate! Seriously come on dude

@binman as usual nails it — 3 best kicks are out which is always gonna expose us to challenges on turnover — baby boy out with bath water yet we took flag favs right to death and 💯 shouting held on so alls not lost for goodness sake how anyone can say we are is pathetic imho

also — for Andy to say Demonland is a leader in tempering abuse and negativity towards players and club is absolutely abhorrent. Sorry love the man and his work but that’s just not true.

abuse is absolutely rife on the site and so much so ppl like me whom defend club wherever I think it’s getting out of control are able to be ‘warned’ for it — to say your a leader in the space is just untrue mate sorry bud.

thought there was a heap of positives despite the agony LW, 6g in 6m — was a storm in teacup I hope and momentum is EVERYTHING as we should  know we did win flag on same concept. But again thanks for fronting up fellas I know it’s hard but maybe try and defend the club at least a little — to question our recruiting line on air.. with list we have and talent we’ve still got inc rebuilding on run and best <24 talent around is not at all appropriate George!!!

go dees 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
