I'd be rushing Melk back into the forward line as soon as he is fit ... if we can get him into 1 on 1's he adds much needed class and goalkicking power.  He's a fitness freak so the age factor isn't as pronounced

I'm not a fan of Fritsch's form but I think many here are misinterpreting what looks like a new role for him. I think the coaches are playing him up the field hoping he might use his kicking to either kick long goals or lace out our forwards. If that's the case potentially we have Windsor, Fritsch, Spargo and Lindsay all designated kickers into the forward 50. I may be wrong on this and I still think he needs to improve defensively but this makes him unlikely to be dropped. 

Just got the time to watch a replay of the last quarter our match after being in attendance at the MCG today after watching the last quarter of last nights Hawks win. The difference in game style in the last quarter of two tight matches at the G in damp conditions was stark. We played our last quarter doggedly, very conservative and defensive and eventually we coughed up a small lead in the last minute. Contrast the Hawks last quarter, they never stopped running, taking risks, moving the ball forward at all costs and extended a 5 pt lead to a 20 pt win. In the first half our ball movement was an improvement on previous years but as the pressure mounted and time wore on I thought we became increasingly slower, defensive and predictable in our ball use. The modern game as played by the Pies, Lions, Hawks, Freo, etc is relentless, risky, rapid ball movement. For all the individual talent we can put on the field, I fear we are going to really struggle with the modern game style.

Let's see us on a dry day first I think before making a full judgement on our ball movement. Even GWS barely had any fluidity in their game in those conditions last week. Carlton are very easy to move the ball against.
