As 'Mr d' aka @Demonstone has abandoned his post as Quiz Master, I have taken on, as a once off, the awesome responsibility of compiling a quiz.

What is the common link?

Answer is football related.  Most players roughly in position.  I couldn’t find a coach to fit the answer but C Scott is the closest.

PM your answers please!

Lovely to see a new torturer assume the mantle!

Is Nick Dal Santo meant to be named twice?

Haha!  No torturing, this is quite simple!

True to Chris Scott form a last minute replacement ploy to trick the opp coach!  Del Santo replacement on the bench is B Stanton.

Another good pick up.

There is a reason you are The Master!

J Longergan has been replaced on the Bench by T Adams

Quite an achievement to beat The Master.  Well done!

What, 'football related', could possibly distinguish St Kilda one-gamer, Chris Hemley?! Certainly not a stat! 😄

It isn't as obscure as some 'football related' clues of the past 🤷‍♀️😉

I figured that as my comment didn't give you anything at all 😀

Koalas regularly appear in my manna gums. He/she/they are generically called Kenny. However, they may now need to be called Luci?!

It will be an honour ( I think 🤔) for your friendly cuddlies to be named 'Luci.  Hope the name change brings you luck!

All prizes are gone.

As indicated this quiz was quite easy, too easy perhaps - didn't need to use any of the great clues I had lined up!

Will leave this run for the rest of the day as I'll be out and to give others a chance to have some fun!

No new answers forthcoming so unlike the cryptic clues in a few of my posts above, here is a real clue:  lucky for some, unlucky for others!

Another correct winner!

No prizes left but Australia Day honours are in order for @demosaw

Edit:  On reflection @demosaw deserves a image.png.da8c76f49d9ba7dfe3c63a65bcd8ee6f.png prize as he correctly identified why C Scott didn't quite fit the criteria ... something I failed to ask of other prizewinners.

Being Australia Day and am in a magnanimous mood their prizes will remain.

Another correct answer by @tilly18 earning Australia Day honours.

  • Author

The answer was all players were drafted at #13.  Chris Scott was drafted at #12.

Thanks for playing everyone!

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.

  • CASEY: Northern Bullants

The Casey Demons travelled to a windy Cramer Street, Preston yesterday and blew the Northern Bullants off the ground for three quarters before shutting up shop in the final term, coasting to a much-needed 71-point victory after leading by almost 15 goals at one stage. It was a pleasing performance that revived the Demons’ prospects for the 2025 season but, at the same time, very little can be taken from the game because of the weak opposition. These days, the Bullants are little more than road kill. The once proud club, situated behind the Preston Market in a now culturally diverse area, is currently facing significant financial and on-field challenges, having failed to secure a win to date in 2025.

  • GAMEDAY: Sydney

It’s Game Day, and the Demons have a golden opportunity to build on last week’s stirring win by toppling Sydney at the MCG. A victory today would keep them firmly in the hunt for a finals spot and help them stay in touch with the pack chasing a place in the Top 8. Can the Dees make it two in a row and bring down the Swans?
