Since Brad Green became interim president and since Gary Pert retired, it seems to me that the club has found it's feet and is on a better track. Litigation over, Goody reinstated as a top fella, Clarry and Tracca about to hit the track, no internal issues, team leaders on the track showing the way and the sun is shining today.

Who could ask for anything more?

Yep, seems like we 'got our man'!

Brad Green seems to have done a good job. At the AGM he apperared nervous but handled the formalities well and had some excellent interventions as he warmed to the role. I think he was expecting conflict and criticism but realised that it was a collection of supporters.

He stated at the meeting that he was going to develop a member engagement focus, would be transparent  and would communicate clearly and consistently.

Clear ,consistent communication was my mantra in my professional life, with the emphasis on consistent from all line management. This applied in small business, large organisations and  government departments. It applied in public, private and for profit and not for profits.

I have always been impressed by Demonland, not only from the diversity of opinion it contains, but more significantly the technological competence at its base. Demonland correspondent sprovide such great training coverage, and issue identification and discussion in a very timely and responsive fashion.  Because of the nature of Demonland there is not always consistency, but it does display the diversity required to set policy and practice. There is always compromise but clear direction with recognised authority will ensure progressive action. All the characteristics of leadership will occur.

Has Brad reached out to Demonland administrators to assist the communication process.

I can undersatnd why there might be some reluctance from both sides but Demonland does represent a large cohort of experienced and passionate supporters. Can demonland present to the club details of how many members use the forum and how it can be used to improve engagement?

I personally think Demonland's great strength lay in its independence of the club. I agree with you about club communication, but not at the expense of this independence.

Yes understand and appreciate. Does not have to lose its independence but can provide a forum for authoritative comments from the club. Doesnt have to be on every issue and again could seek the responsible assistance of demonland moderators etc.

my thought was also moe directed at the technology and technical expertise that resides within the Demonland admins.

At various times Demonland has has some excellent podcasts guests that are/were current members of the club administration and coaching pannel.  Peter Jackson was one of the most prominent and insightful that imeediatley come to mind.  I'm only going off memory here, but I think the timing of his appearance was probably in the Paul Roos days or perhaps around 2018 when he was very much relevant to the club.

I think there should be plenty of scope for perhaps more current serving club personnel to appear on the pod cast and answer interview questions from Andy, Binny and the general forum without compromising any sense of independence from the club.  Maybe Brad could appear on the forum himself (again possibly), to kick off the open communication channels.

Incidentally, one of the quotes that stuck with me from that Peter Jackson interview is that "sometimes development is always linear" and then we had seasons 2019, 2020, followed by 2021!
