The Footy Podcast (I listen through Spotify)

One of the better podcasts out there in my opinion.Very light hearted and not for everyone but has certainly found a niche.

The success he has with his podcast has got him a contract with channel 7 who identified the gap in media coverage.

If you love watching Footy Classified or the Sunday Footy Show then this won't be for you.

He was on Gus and Gawny in one of the last episodes.

He did a 35 min podcast with Max Gawn before the grand final which is worth a listen even if you don't like his regular podcasts.

Honestly never heard of him.. keen to hear the Gawn podcast so I'll give that a go.

The Gawn pod was great and for the most part the interview episodes are the best. Overall It's a bit different from normal footy podcasts. Pretty unstructured and casual. They're not experts by any stretch and they're half as likely to talk about ads or food for 30 minutes than the games themselves.

Sort of podcast that you throw on the background while you're cleaning the house or cooking dinner and not take too seriously.

He’s a quality operator and known to have some serious tactical chops and belief so hopefully challenges things and brings some newness

Not officially, but expecting an announcement in the near future. Bassett confirmed when questioned that he's moving to Melbourne for a coaching role but stopped there.

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
