Look at Logan McDonald?

Nope. He’s been in the system longer than JVR and is only marginally in front. I maintain Sydneys forward line is not that good. It’s their ball movement and method which maximises their potential that is the diff. Logan is serviceable but won’t be much of an upgrade on Mihochek

Yep.

I don't see him as a no.1 KPF but he could end up being a very nice no.2. Hardly a contested marking beast but not bad, does have nice forward craft and penetrating kick. The Swans midfield movement and entries very much suit his style and he suits theirs.

I'd enquire but not sold on him being the missing piece.

That is correct.  Mcdonald is a good average footballer.  No thanks.

For as long as we persist with Stafford this forward line is toast anyway and will always be our Achilles heal.

Shuffling the deck chairs for as long he's in charge.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

It was only a preseason match but the new look Demons spearheaded by new coach Steven King looked impressive as they put on a clinic against perennial cellar-dwellers North Melbourne as they cruised to an 80 point victory at Casey Fields.
