We could try Robin Hood at full-forward.  His kicking is apparently straight as an arrow.

best dad joke ive heard for a while!!

I'd like the see the new game style start to take hold and by the end of the year we charge towards finals with some momentum, maybe Petty and Van Rooyen find their feet as a partnership and the forward line is functioning better

I still think we can play finals in the bottom part of the 8, so i'd say a pass mark given the talent we still have even without Petracca is to make the 8, show this new game style can work and build some momentum heading into 2025, we sort of need this to be a repeat of 2020 where we found form in the back half of the year, just missed the finals but the momentum carried us to the 2021 season where the rest is history

I've lost all trust in the playing group and the coaching staff and hierarchy.

We were told pre season our actions on the field will be our response to an off season from hell.

Something deeply amiss behind the scenes.  We won't be moving forward anytime soon until whatever it is that's festering away behind the scenes is resolved.

I'm not expecting finals this year after our last month. Happy to get games into kids but not all at once.

BUMP

Here is some entertaining reading after dinner.

As I feared in June.... something is deeply amiss.

Is there anyone that still thinks we are in great shape??

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
