Sandringham V Williamstown on the radio and the Net!

Featured Replies

Sandy up at quarter time... 5.3 - 33 to Willy 1.1 - 7

Robbo has 2, Juice, Sauntner and Garland I think have 1 each.

Poyas dangerous, Robbo BOG so far, Pickett VERY prolific, Bizzell in the play a fair bit... I'm missing a few but there's heaps of players looking devastating...

theres a 4-5 goal breeze

sandy scored 5 goals first quater. 2 robbo, 1 newton, 1 garland, 1 sautner (from a terrific double effort from newton who rapped the williamstown player holding the ball, spilled to sautner who took the advantage to kick an easy goal)

gallagher, poyas playing well for the sandy affiliate.

newton and robbo playing well up forward. newtons been involved in 3 goals

Well I guess Brock went over to the west as the acting emergency...

They said on MFC.com that Brock has been given one more week off.

garland to frawley and newton all getting involved.

newton missed a sitter, when he played on instead of going back and taking a set shot...how annoying

Juice and Robbo miss easy shots...

Robbo then kicks his third.

The 3 forwards slaughering them, midfield on top, running defenders doing heaps, Big Bad Bustling Benny Holland getting plenty of frees.

Zebras smashing them, but should be further up. Willy have the cattle to get back here, and are shooting towards the scoring end.

newton flys for a screamer and gets extremely high unfortunately drops the mark...

i love this kid

Half time...

Sandy 9.5 - 59

Willy 7.8 - 50

Willy came back there in the last 10 minutes. Before then the Sandy side hadn't taken their opportunities.

Robbo with 3, Sautner 2, Garland, Pickett, Newton and Hughes.

A LOT of players drifting n and out of the game. Pickett's influence was devastating early, but he may have gone off. Poyas, Gallagher been strong. LOTS of players in the bests. The MFC listed players looking the strongest on the ground. When they rest, we struggle...

Is Brock playing or is he being given the week off to get his fitness right?

ha ha haaa!!!

tassie dude just knocked the post out!

that's brilliant

Wow. I wonder if the bloke who broke it is still conscious?

Lethal broke a point post from memory... What a softie... In the VFL they knock down the big sticks.

how good is it for ernie dingo to come down and support byron pickett! he is a legend!

in tassie, the abc televised game. guy going back for a mark knocked the goalpost clean out of the ground, it fell on another player. craziness.

Juice misses another shot. They've called him Matthew, Ross and just stopped short of calling him Bert.

Unbelievable.

all i hear is turnover! turnovers and more turnovers!

JUICE!!!!!!!!!

Goal number 2.... He's been all over it so far in the second half at CHF!

Robbo kicks his fourth after a blue 40 metres out from the goal-line.

ive been out for a walk and havnt been listening...

any chance we can get a score update?

and have i got this right, robbo has 4, newton has 2 (how many behinds has newton kicked?)? and what are we in now, the 3rd quarter?

13.9.87

10.10.70 at 3 quarter time to sandy.

i only found out about this when i logged in about 5 mins. ago. much props to 1611, even though the commentators are going for williamstown!

3/4 time...

Sandy 13-9 - 87

Willy 10-10 - 70

Robbo has 4, Newton 2 with I think about 3 points... could have that wrong.

We've been the stronger team all day, but they've taken some sharp opportunities.

We might be in a little bit of trouble. There's a definite goal-scoring end. Sandy are going to have to earn this despite being nearly 3 goals up...

if any of the forwards dont perform this week its gonna be hard to keep robo out with 4 goals...and with newton kicking a couple and sounding like he has been getting a bit of it he is getting closer every day...if he can kick a couple with robbo and sautner in and kicking goals he can kick a few for the mfc with neitz and robbo as well...actually interesting that this is the first real time newton has played with robbo up forward...

any word on brock?

if robertson doesn't play next week, injury notwithstanding, i am an igloo

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
