The Sudanese born big man battled injury concerns in the first half of the season and was always going to struggle for an AFL game in the ruck behind Max Gawn and Luke Jackson. Made the decision in mid year to retire without playing a game for Melbourne in his two seasons at the club.

    Surely must have been told he wasn't going to get a game even if he got fit and the big 2 rucks got injured (which they did eventually) and bowed out gracefully.

    Disappointed he left when we were critically short of talls. Could have battled through and played in a premiership at Casey, or pulled the pin earlier and allowed us to find a replacement.

    Having recently read his book, I hope he is in a good head space and getting the support he needs.

    Yeah it was bad timingbut I guess there was no point battling on if his heart wasn't in it. Hope there's some great things in store for him!

    Poor fella literally missed out on his AFL comeback by a couple of days. In the week Max and Jackson were both down he blew out his pec at training. If that hadn't have happened he would have been back in the ones for a week or two
