Go for it. I had a couple of thoughts on 6, but once again clutching at straws. Tony Dodemaide or Darren Lehmann.

You may send me your questions on the back of an unmarked $50 bill.  :D

I'm thinking it may be time to reveal both the correct answers that WCW has in the bank.  Any objections?

No

No point keeping you in suspense.

Q6 is Starc (Star = sparkling plus C = hundred in Roman numerals)

Q7 is Waugh (Not Victoria = WA plus disgusting = "ugh")

Both of these were solved by WCW who is currently hounding me for further clues to Q10.  :D

I'll provide others with the same clue.

That leaves just three to solve, namely Questions 1, 4 and 10 plus the bonus musical teaser.

To get this thing over and done with, I'll now waive the two correct answer limit and make it a free for all.

Number 10: Mick wouldn’t select him. But… Tim May (?)

On second thoughts, I thought it was Graeme Wood (would) but you said that was incorrect. So Tim May is probably incorrect. 😭

Nice thinking mo, but incorrect in this instance.

I can reveal that Q1 is very sneaky and the commentator in question isn't involved in cricket.

The clue for Q4 refers to both the player's Christian name and surname.

Tim May not the correct answer for Q10.  You're not going to sleep tonight until this is resolved, are ya!

Number 1 is Bruce Reid

One stroke engine: Pat (can be a synonym for stroke) Cummins? If there is a Cummins brand of engine?

Pat Cummins is the correct answer!

One stroke = Pat plus Cummins (diesel engine).

Roughly when is ‘put us out of our misery’ time? I’ve got a Big Bash to watch!

This was the least confident I was!

Watching Big Bash is reason enough in itself to make anybody miserable.  :D

Big Bash is to cricket what AFLX is to football.

I'll give it another hour until 8.30pm and spill the beans on any unanswered teasers at that point.

Nobody's had a go at the musical bonus question yet.  It's one I'm particularly proud of.

I watch Big Bash sometimes but it’s just for S+Gs. I find that if you can regard it as a seperate sport, it’s watchable.
As for the musical bonus question, can you please let me know if I’m at least on the right track with Mitch Marsh as in M and M (Eminem)? I haven’t worked out how Shaun figures in, though. Barking up the wrong tree? Thought so.

Not related to the Marsh boys.

I once worked at the M & M factory as a proof reader, but got the sack for throwing away all the W's.

Did you also work at a banana factory but got the sack for throwing away all the bent ones?

I’m gonna have to tap out, DS. For tonight, anyway. I’ve got a killer headache from all the thinking I’ve done today. A thoroughly enjoyable quiz, though.  🙏

Some might say that I'm the bent one.

Anyway, onto those outstanding (due that is, not remarkable) quiz answers.

Q1.  I mentioned this one was very sneaky and that the commentator wasn't connected to cricket.  The announcer  in question is John Laws and "leg" is a reference to the on side in cricket.  Laws and on = Lawson.  Yes, it's the same answer as Q12.  That was exceptionally devious of me, wasn't it?

Q10.  I provided "Demonstone" as a hint and it's the second part of my username that is the clue.  The "Mick" in question is Mr. Jagger who is a Rolling Stone and we all know that they gather no moss.  The answer is Jeff Moss who only played the one Test in 1979 but nevertheless qualifies.

Musical Bonus:  Bros does not refer to the 80s band consisting of the Goss brothers, but to Greg and Ian, the Chappell brothers of Australian cricket fame.  The "opportunity" referred to is another word for chance or, as it sounds like, chants.  Put them all together and you get Gregorian Chants.

In the immortal words of Jack Thompson in that old 70s TV ad for Claytons, "Now we can all get some sleep".

Thanks for playing.  Given that it's Boxing Day, you may now punch me next time our paths cross.

Thanks Demonstone for the entertainment. You put David Astle to shame.

Holy cow, there were some tough ones there. Thanks Demonstone for the extra entertainment. Icing on the cake of walloping the Poms.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
