Its nice wearing Dees gear around town these days, I feel like Fonzie from Happy Days.

I bought the indigenous  jumper about 4 weeks ago. it arrived  on the morning of the grand final!  Still on tonight. I'll see if can get a few signatures on it over the next few months.

I am sure for many years some of us were embarrassed to wear our Melbourne Demons gear out in public.

Especially after a bad loss! And if we were on the bottom of the ladder.

Getting taunted by opposition supporters and laughed at. Even facing very rude insults.

Now all that goes away!

We are reigning Premiers for 2021!

We are now literally bulletproof to any nasty comments.

I encourage you all to proudly wear your Melbourne gear or something red annd blue as much as possible!

That way all Melbourne supporters can connect if we bump into eachother in public.

Time to share the joy of winning our first Premiership since 1964!

Remember we are 2021 Premiers!

It still hasn't sunk in yet...but..our club....that's right OUR CLUB the Melbourne Demons are Premiers!!!!

Wear your Melbourne gear with pride!

GO DEMONS!!!!

I’ve never been afraid to wear my Demon gear, always been really proud, have a large tattoo on my arm of the old 90’s Demon, thinking about getting Premiers 2021 underneath it, love the club always have and I always let everybody know.

Does wearing the colours to bed count?

I wear the cap when out but in FNQ it is just too hot...

Yes! Wearing the colours to bed counts. I woke up in bed (thankfully) with both my Melbourne jumper on and my Melbourne scarf across the doona.

Only if you're a sleep walker.

If I do sleep walk, it will only be as far as the lounge to watch the replay

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?

  • FEATURE: 1925

A hundred years ago today, on 2 May 1925, Melbourne kicked off the new season with a 47 point victory over St Kilda to take top place on the VFL ladder after the opening round of the new season.  Top place was a relatively unknown position for the team then known as the “Fuchsias.” They had finished last in 1923 and rose by only one place in the following year although the final home and away round heralded a promise of things to come when they surprised the eventual premiers Essendon. That victory set the stage for more improvement and it came rapidly. In this series, I will tell the story of how the 1925 season unfolded for the Melbourne Football Club and how it made the VFL finals for the first time in a decade on the way to the ultimate triumph a year later.
