Who knows what will with happen with covid  restrictions but as it stands we play Geelong in the last round.

It is likely if we win we finish top and they finish fourth meaning we play them the following week.

If we lose it is likely we finish second and they finish third. Which again means we play them the following week.

There are other factors involved but I'm calling it now.

It could be a very weird final round of the season and first round of the finals.

Melbourne vs Geelong.

Bulldogs vs Port.

Brisbane vs West Coast.

... are all realistic chances to be double-ups.

Just Sydney v Gold Coast letting down the trivia nights of the future.

We were involved in such a scenario way back in 1990 when we beat Hawthorn in the last game of the H & A season then backed up the following week and knocked them off in the Elimination Final.

Tony Campbell's finest hour. Kept the chief under control.
