I hope they can map out a program that has him ready to run through brick walls in the prelim. What that looks like with his foot I'm not sure but it looks like he might struggle to play all games so give him the Clark Keating (triple premiership player for the Lions who only played about 10 home and away games) treatment.

While Harmes is doing his job he possibly isn't needed and it's also good to get games into Sparrow, but of course Jack Viney makes us a better side.

To me Viney is an automatic inclusion when fit, l would say for Melsham. But l must add isn’t it great that we have such quality backups. I would dare say Sparrow and Brown would be automatic inclusions in any other side in the AFL. Hadn’t realised until l saw him play over the last couple of weeks what an outstanding kick Sparrow is. The longest and straightest at the club l would guess. Great to see such talent.....

I know they are both young but Jordon and Sparrow are chalk and cheese in the tank department.

Jordon played wing on Friday, 86% time on ground and covered more ground than anyone else afield.Ā

For contrast, Sparrow played 58%.

This is a brilliant addition to the wingers club, for me JJ stays, Melk goes for Viney. Rivers is best 22, and Sparrow will be toonifbhe keeps playing like he did. Harmes could be very stiff to miss as well.

Remembering 2000, Viney is our insurance policy against that happening.

When I look back on the injuries to really good players of which we have had very few, with who takes their spotĀ  , i.e. Warren Dean out, Brad Sparks in;

we now have a whole field of guns, stuff all injuries and we are trying to squeeze in Jack Viney and Ed Langdon!Ā

Bet you weren't saying that at half time on Friday night!!!

i think we are still in it if we can get our good players into the game. Clarry, Tmac and Salem
