I love the fact that the hunger to work off the ball is proving it’s value this year.  Sometimes the most important work is done when you don’t have the footy. Run. Get back. Pickup opponents.  I think burgo has done a great job to get our players physically ready for 4 quarters.  The work of Hunt and Langdon has really impressed in the first six games.  I’d definitely put workrate as one of the ten reasons for our 6-0 start.  

 

Yep, work rate across the board and repeat efforts. Takes serious discipline and mental toughness but these guys have it right now. 

Footage of the wingers dropping back with lever (I think it was) to form a wall of 3 at the back of the contest was great to see. It was shown on the couch and as Healy said, the wings have become a high kilometres less reward position. Ours are nailing it at the moment.

 

Hearing Tommo on the Sunday footy show saying Oliver dropping back to help defend has been big for them was a real positive as well, one thing Oli has been criticised for is not pushing hard enough both ways. Well he is know.
