Has a real upbeat, positive demeanour about him. Spoke from the heart and in uplifting terms at last years b&f when everyone else was in the doldrums. Very authentic, born leader and motivator. You can just tell he's happy to be here.

He was such a great mark, they called him « Sticky fingers ». 

I remember reading in a book many, many years ago that Brian Dixon would walk around the playground at school squeezing a tennis ball* in each hand to strengthen his grip.  He was teased by the other kids for this, but I have no doubt that it helped him with his marking ability.

*  May have been squash balls not tennis, but certainly not the type favoured by Terry Wheeler in later years.  

I thought one major error we made last year was naming Melksham as captain when Max and Viney were both out. When I'm watching us play May is the guy that to me oozes leadership, he looks angry when he gets beaten and even angrier if he makes a mistake. He sets himself and his teammates a high standard, that is a leader.

He's fast become one of my favourite players to watch.
