Had a few really good games to start his career, then got a bit ahead of himself and was ad libbing too much for the Swans liking and butchering the ball.

Killed us last year when allowed to play as an intercepting half back but being stuck on Preuss deep and providing little intercepting or attacking drive largely took him out of the game. The Swans should've trusted young McCartin deep or flipped Ried to full back and McCartin forward and got Aliir up the ground, but Longmire isn't very creative.

If we get May and Lever fit we will be well served for intercepting tall defenders, we just need a 3rd guy who can do a shut down job.

Frosty did a great job on buddy, absolutely dee-moralised him by making him earn every possession

hes a fairly good intercept mark but poor kick.  I think he is overrated but AFL worthy nonetheless.

He appears to be very relaxed, possessing a surety about what is about to happen, what he needs to do for positive benefit to his team, and then finding a way to make that contribution. The frequency of this routine is quite complimentary. His kicking does let him down at times but on the short clearances to teammates, he is very sound. He'd be good in our backline - very good - assisting to relieve the panic that occurs on every deep backline entry. He also appears to be supremely athletic and completes some great 'break free' exhibitions.

Very handy was our Frosty, working on one of the best thinkers in the game and contrary to some opinion, executed it all with aplomb due to his own clear thought resourcefulness. Without the standardised 'panic' down back (who's going to back up for OMac this time and clear the ball from the hot zones because Oscar never will), Frosty is going to be a huge asset and clearance machine and if OMac gets three years to improve/master his craft just as the same tolerance works for the Weed up the other end, then it is only fair for Frosty to have the same orientation time to these roles. Beating Buddy twice in a row is highly commendable. Onyer, Big Ears!

... wore him like an extra  2 + 2nd skin.

100% agree. I enjoy watching him but as you say he is a poor kick. In our match against them just gone I was happy when he had the ball because there was a very good chance he would turn it over. As he did at a crucial time in the last (and a couple of other times).

Commentators loved him but his direct opponent kicked. 2.1. More goals than buddy and Reid combined.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
