Good luck Macca, I’m locked and loaded for tonight after a good day at the races. Was fortunate enough to collect on a small percentage of the F4 in the Cup thanks to everyone’s input.

Just finished watching the Victory game and it was a corker. The wife ‘tipped’ me the Melb City 2-1 correct scoreline at $11. Riding the wave so to speak.

It could be a long night, Chelsea about to kick off.

Well done mate - good on ya!  I just had a look at the dividend and even a small percentage is rather decent.

No punters lament on my part because at no stage did I entertain putting the winner on top as I already had 4 and had 2 or 3 others as next best.

I did have Best Solution for 2nd,  3rd & 4th in the exotics though ... If Homesman wins I would have cleaned right up.  Duretto was the horse that boosted up the F4 and it had the form line through Best Solution in that Newmarket Group 2 race run over the same 2400m distance.

Interesting that 17 of the 20 runners were either bred overseas or were newly arrived (if we include the 2 emergencies)  Ace High,  Mighty Boss & Youngstar were the only Australian bred horses in the race.  That is quite an eye-opener in all reality DZ.

And I am fairly sure that Youngstar is the only Australian bred horse in the first 15 horses in the Melbourne Cup betting.   The 'raiders' have basically taken over.

Anyway,  Come on Chelsea!  Goal!

Go Chelsea!! Are you watching it on Optus Sport? I’m having slight trouble with the connection at the moment.

Yes Macca, I was telling a guy at work this morning I had a feeling the overseas horses might dominate the spring.

I placed a small tri (boxed 6) with my initial selections. With the F4 I excluded Ventura Storm, Ace High and Youngstar after I saw the drift in the market especially with the latter 2. I added Homesman after the horse was mentioned by Properdee, Duretto (hoodoo horse) and Red Verdon.

My win bet was on The Cliffsofmoher, I thought he ran a terrific race too.

Edit: Never mind....just realised it’s on SBS?

I've got Fetch TV which gives me the Optus feed.  No problems here.

And I reckon I'll just have a go at the F4 in the big Group 1's from here on in ... you've set the standard DZ after today.  Way to go!

A bit of pinball in the box and United equalise. Come on Chelsea, come on. Goals are good I guess, just get the winner now.

We're backing Chelsea but we don't mind if Man Utd score!

That's the punt for you

The positive of waking up early this morning to come into work for a few hours is seeing the first two legs get through Macca.

PSV let us down although they did win DZ ... their games have averaged 4 match goals so the form was there.  Back to the drawing board!

A bit stiff on that one Macca, Vitesse had a man sent off in the 14th minute and managed to concede only the one goal. One of those games I guess.

I slept through it all and then scrolled through the games and with just the PSV result to come I felt reasonably sure that we'd won.  Close but no cigar.

Good get on the Leicester & Man Utd wins DZ although United left it to the very last moment.
