Yeah,  happy to do a midweeker occasionally Wadda ... maybe when there's some big-time sport on like Champions League or NBA,  NHL finals et al.  I like the team pick rather than my own judgement too - just the 1 pick suits as I normally see one choice jumping out at me!

Wednesday into Thursday suits too rather than Tues/Wed.  We could just have a go where we see fit.  The Ice Hockey & NBA finals start soon and both sports have 2 months of playoffs.  And there is still a fair bit of big-time soccer to come.

Ok Macca lets try a couple of weeks and see how we go. So thats tomorrow night. Im sure @Dee Zephyr can chime in as well for a pick.

Wed into Thursday is good. The Euro soccer will be finishing up soon i guess, but yes by all means throw in anything you spot as a standout. The team pick is the go.

6000 posts....i really need to get a life!  :)

Happy to go with a midweek pick fellas if everyone is good to go. Will be taking a winter spell after the Autumn carnival on ADATR, weekends are becoming too crazy around here, still happy to post a couple of Monkeys a week though.

Edit: Love the NHL playoffs, Boston is my tip to win the Stanley Cup. $10 second favourite. Tampa Bay $2.80 favourites, been a while since I’ve seen a discrepancy like that in the NHL.

Gets away from you doesn't it Wadda

I remember just before posting my first post that I had zero chance of getting to 100 ... all these years later I'm pushing it up to 10,000!  What the hell happened?  ha ha

But I enjoy the banter and of late,  have avoided any sort of angst.  The other sports threads and the music threads have kept me here.  Especially our 2 threads.

Winners are grinners, Houston smashed them like guitars leading every period from a boom start and Liverpool destroyed Porto 1-4.

The ole 1-2 knockout from your team at Monkey Business.

Doesn't always happen with absolute standouts but this time it did and I reckon we got overs too Wadda

Was going to throw Man City win & +2.5 goals as the 3rd banana but thought twice and was happy to take the 9-1 for the 2pick ... no regrets either mate.

Monkey Business does it again ... nearly saluted last Sunday/Monday as well but Augsberg decided to put on a show to thwart our ongoing success!

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
