If you have a bet return by the last I would recommend Legend of Zorro. $14

ivw been on it multiple times. Can measure up if on song and worth a bonus imo.

... and I don't mind Excelida in the Black Pearl St (R8 No.7)

Good each way odds shortening from 15-1 into 12-1 ... drops 2.5kgs from its last start win at HQ

Hasta ran ok for 3rd in the Geelong Cup ... slick time for the race though.  Tralee might go alright in the Cup.  Hit the line well

At $160k for 12th it's well worth just getting a runner in the big race.  Anyway, the connections picked up a cool $240k for winning the Geelong Cup

Well done Gorg!

I got on and a good way to end the day ... the horse fought well to the line.  Tough win!

Nice! I was on it and Rainbeil at $7, both came in hard prior to the jump.

Best Bet (Saturday) Moonee Valley

R3 No.2 New York Baby (Win) $4.60

Best Bet Saturday Moonee Valley

Race 6 No.5 Elephant (W) $3

Best Bet. MV Race 4 no 8 Dosh $3.30 Win

I do worry about this if it gets to a soft 6 or more.

This trio saluting will return odds of about 40-1 (In a multi)

Good luck punters!

Manikato stakes tomorrow, I can’t go past Lombardo.

Who do you guys like?

I agree on Lombardo ... a horse on it's way up.  Quinella with Savatoxl?

On RSN this morning the track watcher mentioned Rambeau ($26) as one that impressed (Friday Moonee Valley) Race 1 No.4

Gator's 2/3 Parlay involves 3 races at Randwick (Saturday)

R6 No.9 Ma and Pa

R9 No.6 Entriviere

R10 No.9 Gravina

About 45-1 for the 3

Yeah I already have a quinella with Lombardo and Sav.

I’ll look at the others.

Gator, Mick Sharkie & Gareth Hall on RSN Spring Carnival radio tonight from 5pm (Valley races)

This meeting last year they were on and got on the plonk!  A little unhinged as a consequence!!

Jonker was $10 yesterday ... looked the winner a long way from home but Bella nearly pinched the win

Savatoxl & Lombardo just couldn't keep up ... old boy Streets ran on well

I have Bella in my F4, I tossed up between Joneker and Sneaky 5, not that it mattered as Lombardo and Sav got nowhere near it.

In those sprints at the Valley if a horse can win the start, hold it's ground and then kick, it often wins (gotta be a good horse to start with though)

Jonker has now won $2.1Million and it's run some very quick times over the journey.  I had it included in a trifecta but didn't have Bella

That's racing (at the Valley!)

Zaaki out of the Cox Plate ... elevated temperature

Wow, big news Macca…huge blow for connections.

Buffalo River’s scratching in the Crystal Mile leaves Elephant very short now. Would have loved to hear Matt Hill get creative calling Elephant, Buffalo and Rhinoceros over the line as the first 3.

10's of $Millions lost on Zaaki in the all-ins (doubles on the big races as well)

I find it a little questionable for it to happen on the day (and I'm not talking through my hip pocket)

Busy day myself but managed to listen in on all the drama surrounding the protest in the Cox Plate

Re the protest in the Cox Plate

Protest being dismissed was the right decision but the interference did stop Anamoe's run to a degree. I just don't believe the interference was all that severe

We see a lot of brushing and slight bumps and to me that's just part of racing

Upholding the protest would have suited me as I had Anamoe going in a few bets (including a decent win bet)

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
