Zac Clarke

If we were to get another mature backup ruck, Zach Clark would probably be my choice, but it'd be like getting a second Spencer.

Would much rather Tom Campbell, Ben Griffiths and even taking a risk on Nathan Vardy.

Campbell re signed, Griffiths staying with Ty gone and Vardy is looking west.

Clarke isn't much of a forward. Then again, he isn't much of a ruckman either. His lack of a physical presence is one of his major flaws.

Never understood what Ross Lyon sees in Zac Dawson. Guess he sees some athleticism in Zac Clarke ... but not much else there. Must be names starting with "Z"

If we're looking for ruck back up for Max for the next couple of years - get Minson as a Delisted FA ( and try to persuade someone take over Spencer's contract.!)

If we want a forward - ruck then get a brilliant doctor to sort out  Vardy.

The other one who has shown something is Toby Nankervis who hasn't looked out of place when given a game.

Let some other club take Clarke!

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
