I'm betting that this week's team is going to look very different to the one that took the field against the Swans early last year.

Wow. 13 players there that didn't play on the weekend against the Pies. That's a lot of changes. 16 if you include the emergencies.

MELBOURNE

Huge difference right here, plus with Tippet out, could be a big day for Maxy :D

I give us a sneaky chance this week. We are in decent form, taking it up to the Hawks and then pumping the Pies.

We will need to minimise our turnover's and poor decisions as much as we can, but we could take it right up to them methinks.

Who does Garlett come in for?

Nobody. Was sent back to find form and gain confidence - Has done neither of those yet.

I'm sorry but in such a crucial match and heading into a bye Spencer does not come in. Sorry

Maybe Wagner for a spell

Garlett has poor first touch, often fumbles and in the wet (predicted to rain in Sydney) he is even worse. I'd be shocked if he came back in this week.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
