If the Essendon FC has officially invited James Hird to attend the match, it's time they invested in a better PR and issues management consultant. There will be a time for a reconciliation but it shouldn't happen until all the legal processes, including the CAS appeal, the Dank actions and the players v club matters are all resolved.

LDC the Majority of EFC supporters firmly believe Hird has done nothing wrong and the club is being persecuted by all and sundry ( they cannot explain why).

The Chairman and committee are playing firmly to this group and for this group it is working.

They don't  give a tinkers cuss about what the general football public think.

Unite EFC supporters it is Us against the world.

They're a vocal group but not representative of all or even the majority. Plenty of them know their club has led them down a merry path and are extremely disillusioned with them especially Hird, Little et al.

The great thing is this will foster division within their club for years if not decades.

From my contacts Dr I see little of what you say above.

I am not saying you are incorrect I am yet to see it from a single EFC supporter I have en counted.

If Round 2 is 'Essendon v The World', I guess that makes us the official representatives of 'The World'.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
