Are you offering to create the comp in 2016 Scarlett? Probably a good idea to do this sooner than later.

Let me know & just post the code for everyone to join.

I'm happy to help out in 2016 , weekly wraps, assist setting scoring etc.

20 th March works for me for draft night.

Auto select draft order, 60 seconds between picks. And reverse snake order on selections.

My suggestion For scoring is:

* Kicks, Handballs, Tackles & Marks all = 3

* Hit Outs = 2

* Points Scored = 4

* Scoring Accuracy = 2

* Free Differential = 1

Total of 21........

Thoughts Lads?

im happy with that but i've always hated scoring accuracy and putting it to 2 points i think might be a bit heavy on the scoring.

I'd be interested in putting it to 1 and also adding another category. I'll make the league now and then we can discuss it before the draft.

Good stuff Scarlett.

Both Contested possesions & Clearances sound like interesting additions. Puts a new spin on the ball magnet type player. I'd be up for adding both @ 1 point value.

Maybe then pump up Hit Outs to 3 to keep the odd number. That would really bring the elite hit out ruckman back into play?

as i suggested earlier i really like the spoils, gives the backmen something more rather then just going outside running defenders. i wont add anything until we get a general consensus from everyone involved. i sent a message out to everyone involved with an invite (I think, if you didnt get one just send me a message and i'll send it).

What are you talking about JCB?

Fixing up a flawed scoring system in 2015 will make 2016 a better and more even contest for everyone. We are suggesting nothing more than Hit Outs are worth more than 1 point to bring elite ruckman back into play & handballs are worth the same as kicks.

Thats pretty much it?

Wheres the difficult bit?

You can do this Ol Fella?

Stay tuned we are going to have a ripping 2016 season?

I'm in.

Thanks Scarlett.

I also hate scoring accuracy.

I mean if your team kicks 20 goals 21 to 10 goals 1, to lose that point seems silly to me.

Lads with all the dislike of the "scoring accuracy" surfacing how about we park that entire category in 2016.

That way we can add , Spoils & clearances or contested possesions!! This will give a total fresh feel to the Comp this season?

I like spoils, I like the idea of making the game as even as possible as often it is heavily midfield based.

Adding contested and clearances will further increase this, that's said il go with the majority!

I strongly believe we should leave the scoring as Matt has proposed...to many variables as is...with possibly only 14 teams, this will be enough change.

however, what are we doing re keepers....having two from last year as we agreed last year?

this is the issue we need to sort out....not the scoring...that's been solved by our Manager..

JCB

We can't have keepers in 2016

There is to much churn with teams dropping out & new ones arriving. Matt asked for in put into the scoring so players are just putting there views forward. Things won't change to much & all will be good.

Some good suggestions here folks.

Re scoring, I don't like accuracy either, and it would be good to have hit outs worth more than last year. Other than that I am not really fussed, although would prefer games to be decided on the main stats.

Happy to drop to 14 teams, certainly better than 16.

OK..... Currently only 9 teams listed in comp.  It's hard to identify who is who from your list. There is 10 teams listed, I think Mad MELBOURNE might be the missing team? Lads if possible can you change your team names to match your Demonland Name until we have a full comp, 14 Teams.

looks like there is no other returning teams from 2015.

So we now need to recruit 4 fresh teams. Scarlett does the above sound about right before we open this comp up?

sorry i've been living away with work, so far 9 teams. good idea with the names, until we have a full team. I'm about to upgrade the comp so we can have all the extra options, also has an option for extra managers, I'd be interested in giving someone else access while I'm doing living away work, will be away for another 2 weeks.

Hey Matt

No problem, I will keep an eye on things. I like your suggested categories. I have  listed my thoughts on category value.

on the ultimate footy page it only has 9 people listed so far, if you go to join a league you can find last years league but i am unable to click through to the link to get the names of everyone from last year so we can message them, or perhaps we can start a thread on the main board to alert them to this one

OK sweet. Sorry mate I was thinking "Scarlett" for you.

So that's you 2 off the list.

I will follow up the others.

If not returning we can open comp up next week.

We will cap at 14. That should make for an awesome draft.?

KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

    Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie
