I don't think it makes a lick of difference what the supporters expect. The only thing my expectations influence is my level of disappointment when they're not met (or my level of happiness when they're exceeded).

    Disadvantage? I disagree. Losing those 2 (Frawley one good season, Clark awol) will enable us to get 2 players that want to play. We will gain from this and you can take that to the bank!

This is a concept that should resonate with all supporters of the Melbourne Football Club this morning as they reflect on its comprehensive 83-point victory over the struggling West Coast Eagles at Marvel Stadium. The outcome proved beyond doubt that they are the worst of clubs and that we are the best of the worst.
