Hello from Alice Springs!!!!

Featured Replies

So I landed this morning in Alice Springs, semi overcast but nice Melbourne-like day.

Been walking around town in my Melbourne gear with a few randoms yelling out "Go Dees".

Had an Alice Spring burger on the main strip, hopefully I can hold it down.

The most surprising thing is how many Indigenous folk are wearing Melbourne guernseys.

Cant wait to see my boys.

Carn the mighty dees!!!

If we win .... My word I'm getting drunk tonight

If we do, and you do, just keep away from the river bed. Bad things can and do happen there at night, especially after a few too many.

Atmosphere was great

Far more demons in crowd

Surface superb

Very much country ferl

The Todd River is now an alcohol free zone. I was staying at the Quest which faces the Todd and did not see anyone drinking at night.

Recommend it as great trip for people in the future

Lovely surface nice feel weather

Hope to get back there again

Darwin-where anytime is beer time.

It's Game Day and the Demons return to the MCG after a dismal performance in Gather Round to face the reigning dual Premiers Brisbane. What do expect to see from the Dees today?

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.
