What date do I have to confirm my keepers by?

  • Author

I'm going to allow changes up until the day before the draft, I just ask if everyone can pick them asap so I can make sure that we're good to go. The last thing I want to do is assign someone their keepers if they forget to do it.

Okay well barring injuries il have Franklin, masten, Parker and hombsch

As our Manager ,I feel with your allowance above you are bringing a lot of work on yourself re the tightness of time before draft time..

It is my suggestion that we close off our concluded keeper/ rookie picks by 12pm, 28th February 2014to allow all players(coaches) to look at whom are available to pick from after all selected keepers/ rookies are locked away.

Also,this gives all a weekend to look through it..

This is my recommendation to allow a good transition

Jarka,

I want to request you to seriously think about bringing in rules and regulations to qualify for coaching in 2015, before the start of this season.

I am suggesting that one of these is,all coaches have to qualify their rookies before finals start in our 2014 season. This will allow a follow through in 2015.this covers the issue accordingly.Also, if a coach does not continue in the 2015, it brings fairness to a new coach, and is fair to all.

Some may have other considerations for you to consider before season starts

Cheers

Only negative with this is injuries over summer, meaning that it could result in one of your 4 keepers being out for the year, but I like the idea

My Keepers

* Dane Swan

* Keiran Jack

Rookie Keepers

* Mitch Wallis

* Jonothan Patten

Jarka my squad has lots of 1993 Rookies remaining

* Dean Kent

* Shaun Atley

* Nick Vlaustin

To name a few, are you able to make these available to the other squads ?????

JCB, I'm comfortable with allowing a change to a keeper up until the day before the draft due to an injury, the only thing I ask is for eveyone to assign their keepers now so everyone can start planning for the draft. Injuries have much more of an impact in Ultimate Footy compared to Supercoach

OMR, thank you for that and a good suggestion however that would go against everything that's been discussed and decided on in the past with regards to the keepers. I don't want to mess around with the rules too much, last year the comp worked really well under the rules we had in place.

The following people have not set their keepers:

Jakovich Forever

M_M

Wreckers

HT

Can you guys please assign your keepers, it's not hard and only takes a couple of minutes.

Hi Jarka my keepers are: -

Scott Thompson (Adel)

Nic Naitanui (WCE)

Rookie Keepers: -

Taylor Adams (Coll)

Oliver Wines (Port)

Keepers for the Wreckers

Beams, Prestia

Kerridge, Crouch

Have pained over Shuey, Ebert or Prestia.

Don't like Ebert so I ditched him and can't decide between Prestia and Shuey. Prestia had a better season and is still up and coming - but may find it difficult to back it up - whereas Shuey was relatively quiet but had injury concerns.

I may change it - have to keep an eye on them in pre-season.

We're now waiting on two teams for their keepers, which is a bit frustrating considering how many requests I've made. I'm going to be pretty busy over the next couple of weeks so I need the keepers set for the last two teams by this Sunday, if you don't I can't guarantee that I'll remember to assign them for your team. No more warnings or requests, this is your last chance.

Sorry Jarka - thought mine were set when I first rejoined - will do it now

Done - Whitfield Jaegerbomb J Riewoldt and Rockliff

Thanks Jako, that's probably the best starting 4 so far. Which idiot traded Whitfield to you?

Honestly can't remember but was seriously KOTD by it

:-)

Sorry about the delay, thought I had done it and I am currently on a trip with my miss! No reception until tonight and then I thought id catch up on demonland and saw this.

Locked in

Frankin, masten

Parker and hombsch

But I may change my overage keepers closer to the date

Thanks MM, as previously mentioned I'll allow changes to the keepers up until the day before the draft due to injuries. Everyone has until this Sunday to finalize their keepers, the reason for this is that it gives everyone a week to work on their draft strategy but if anyone changes their keepers then the 'pre-draft rankings' section has to be redone. I don't want anyone to be disadvantaged due to a late injury but I also don't want people to lose all their work unnecessarily.

Enjoy the holiday!

  • REPORT: Fremantle

    For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

    The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
