Some would say the good bits added

The only advantage netball has is that they tend to select the team on looks except in NZ

you can actually play a game of basketball adhering to netball rules without breaking any basketball rules but not Vice versa

I would also say that most of the Opals or ex coach Carrie Graf would be able to take destroy all and Biffen down without too much effort

I was invited to a Melbourne Tigers game about 15 years ago. One of the most boring nights of my life.

It's a toss up. Watching grass grow, paint dry, basketball, horse racing, or soccer.

Still undecided. Although actually being at the horse races at least has some advantages.

I have watched both the Knicks and the Lakers and I can confirm that

1. Watching grass grow is more interesting

2. They do, as previously stated by Biffen, wear dresses.

I hope that resolves the argument.

Lol, love the amazing digression in this thread.

Non-Jack Watts threads always digress to discussion of Jack Watts. Jack Watts threads always digress to other topics.

Ben - finds lawn bowls interesting; hates soccer.

Yep, story checks out.

Football, or soccer, is a brilliant game, but you have to be emersed in it to really appreciate it, I think. It isn't for the impatient sports fan, much like test cricket.

A good game of rugby is very watchable, but a crap one is arguably the worst spectacle of all the football codes.

I concur with BH on lawn bowls. Also a great game. But I side with you on the soccer comments, Paul. It's a game of patience in the same way that test cricket is. The atmosphere in England far outweighs anything that the AFL could dish up and with about half the spectators.

Rugby League is one of the dullest sporting codes in the world. Union is marginally better, but not by much.

You weird, Brother.

Golf is great to play and watch. Although getting up at 4am in the morning and getting your heart broken for 20 years was tough. Lucky I'm a Melbourne supporter.

I appear to gravitate towards sporting clubs with rich, successful histories, who have then slumped to mediocrity for decades. MFC and Liverpool FC have left my heart broken for 26 years. :P And what am I to take from your comments RE: getting your heart broken for 20 years golfing? Is that cryptic or have I just had a long week?

I suspect he's referring to the national pastime of getting up with high hopes only to watch Greg Norman lose in the last round of another major

And I'd let most of the opals whack on a triangle and choke me. I wouldn't tap either.

Don't know about Carrie Graf though, bit too Bea Smith, but I guess I'd have no choice but to grin and bear it, sob later.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025.
