Going, Going, Gawn...(well not quite)

I have to say the excitement levels were high when I saw the headline "Watts, Gawn return for GWS Clash" and rose even higher when I saw Spencer had been included in the squad for this could mean only 1 thing - "he's going, going, GAWN!...Jamar is out." Yet, seems they still havent come to their senses and any excitement I had the prospect of us at least trying with some other tall timber fell away when I saw him still named as the starting big man. When will they come to their senses and how many chances can one man get...

Jamar is listed in the 18, Spencer on the extended bench, chances are Spencer will be an emergency. So The Russian seems safe this week.... unfortunately.

Hes got 3 years worth of chances!

Yeah I know, depressing isnt it - but that still doesnt mean he shouldnt be given a spell, his form is appaling and letting him know that just because he's on a contract doesn't mean he's a starter may be just the motivation he needs to actually get another touch....

Jamar seems to be under an injury cloud each week. Spencer was an emg last week because there was a possibility of Jamar as a late withdrawal (Neil Craig said it himself) and a training report from this week said he left traning early due to something back related?

The Russian has a Back-Related Posession and Disposal Problem.

Well he hasn't any talent on the football side of things.

Jamar a late withdrawal hopefully

Would love Spencer and Gawn in the team together

I actually really liked what i saw from Jake in 2012, he loves to tackles and his 2nd efforts are tremendous, not to mention he is 203 centimeters and competes well at ballups and throw ins.

Sure his kicking is bad, but at least he has the balls to kick it unlike Jamar

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
