He really gave it to Matty Thompson!!

Just went right up the respect ladder for me.

10/10 Mark...

They put an edited version on the website, with the main points

You mean the hs link at the top of the article? It doesn't make any mention of the Mark Thompson discussion so I assume it leaves or other important bits too...

horse bolted.

Maybe 55. But sometimes i reckon its possible to turn these things around and get the horse back. A crisis such as the one we have just had can also represent an opportunity. We will soon see (sat 2pm).

Crossroads for Mark and the team.

The crucial thing that he needs to get better at is to not wear his heart on his sleeve as much post game. When he speaks with less emotion he's easier to understand and looks much more like a leader. I really hope Craig is helping him with this.

The more care he shows for the players and the club the more he endears himself to the public and makes it harder for the media to ostracise him.

I like him as we'll but in my opinion the crucial things for a Senior Coach are:

1/- Win games, or

2/- show that you know how to win games and are working towards that result

So far, not so good. Ultimately, the Senior coach is paid a fair amount of money to select, develop and lead the coaching group and the playing group. Winning is not everything but, unless it's visible on the horizon, Neeld will be held accountable.

Neeld is barely able to communicate I dont think he thinks enough about what he actually wants to say he is difficult to undersatnd in a press conference Myabe that he style

Any way he is the coach and all i want his for him to do his job today Im sure he will be better in the press conference after a good win

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
