GO DEES

I've noticed a couple of people mentioning that they can't wait for the season to start 2pm Sunday. I for one, want to see as many Dees fans at the G' as possible on Sunday, so I thought I'd make sure you all know ...

It is 1.10pm bounce on Sunday!! Not 2 or 2.30pm!

1.10pm!! BE THERE!!

I think why they are mentioning that they can't wait until 2pm is because if we are still in the game at that time, we have already improved on 2012.

Just tried to grab some balcony passes but its closed because its too close to the game. Can anyone confirm if I can grab them at the mcc gate?

Cheers

Golden billy.

Love it

Hoping that Lynden Dunn has a great 100th Game this Sunday it has been a long time coming for the very much maligned young man, a lot has changed since he joined MFC as a bottom age 17 year old.

He will probably never be the super star that everyone hoped for when drafted but if his dedication to training and his never give in attitude to improve and be a better footballer count for anything in football now days he is and continues to be a part of the team trying to make the MFC a better club and a place others want to be part of.

Now less than 24 hours away till we see the team.

Must admit I am a little excited to see the form the team takes as we don't have many injuries.

This team could well be as good as it gets re available personnel.

The trouble with preseason - we never really got to see the best play at once.

I think this sunday is going to herald the beginning of a new era for the Melbourne Football Club.Hopefully the hangover from the 186 which lasted for all of last year has been flushed out of the system.I hope we just unsettle Port Adelaide at the first bounce by just upping the aggression and intensity (controlled aggression and intensity) and getting in their faces. We would send out a real statement of intent to the footy world that we mean business this year if we clinically dismantle them.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
