PRACTICE MATCH: CASEY SCORPIONS v PORT MELBOURNE

Featured Replies

Now up to 54 points at three quarter time. Port Melbourne 16.8.104 to Casey Scorpions 7.8.50

.

Apart from Jack Viney, the rest would struggle for promotion next week.

Sounds like last week. I am even more nervous for Round 1 now.

Bloody hell. Officially nervous about next Sunday.

How strong is the Port squad please ?

Here's the good news Mitch Trenners Blease mcKenzie Viney still standing I don't want to upset KC but part of the problem is that Casey is undermanned This will be an issue for Casey in 2013 They have some goers but they lack key position muscle This is not a criticism because MFC players will have to fill the void more than previously Our blokes have the "just get through the game" mentality today and you will understand why

Bloody hell. Officially nervous about next Sunday.

Why, u expecting the Casey players to be named for us ....get a grip...Blease hasn't played for 4 weeks, Clark for 9 months, Trengove fox six months. it is a practice match....would assume without the 80 rule we are rotating furiously...Viney knows no other way...if the report didn't read that way....then I would be worried about him...McKenzie needs a run...the rest have had very little minutes in pre season....

Mitch has shown me that he will play round 1 because his work rate has been excellent With better service he would have at least three by now

Just to put things in perspective Fitzy hasn't reappeared since whack in eye Casy have no height/strength in centre square

WW, has Taggert shown anything at all?

Taggert just did some very good work inside Perhaps a lot has gone unnoticed

Rory hasn't played for 18 months. We give him full season at Casey we'll have a different footballer on our hands next year/later this year. He shows more in patches than most on our list.

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
