The Club website is adopting a 'Head-in-the-sand' attitude

Our warchest looks like it may go to lawyers rather then players :(

Well, at least the lawyers would have earned it...

The club has no obligation to report on it. Only once decisions and/or sanctions have been made should the club report on it.

Dumb threat is dumb.

One thing I haven't heard mentioned anywhere yet, amazingly really, is where in the AFL rulebook does it say that a team MUST attempt to win every game of football or suffer sanctions?

My understanding is it would fall into the 'bringing the game into disrepute' category'.

Really it's enough of a joke in itself that one bad thing falls in the category and another doesn't completely at the discretion of Vlad and is a true portrayal of how flawed our games hierarchy is.

Thanks for the comments one and all! Some very sage advice! How do i now close the thread?

so you don't think they leak

even if they haven't said anything of interest there is certainly an afl trial going on

really not sure - whilst there maybe an individual leaking I still feel that AFL would love this to all go away but the media refuses to stop beating the drums. Whilst people have rightly commented that just because others before us "list managed" it doesnt make it right for us to do the same, I think the AFL would be worried that if they come down with an ugly finding against us, then they are obliged to look closely at past actions of other clubs.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
