Aaron Davey

Featured Replies

Interesting to note no-one has slated Aaron for his poor defensive effort on Robert Murphy. 18 touches in the first half and almost single handedly won them the game.

All I have read is Aaron got two goals and was harder at the contest. Surely he has to be dropped??

Any improvement is coming off a low base. I am not sure there are better options atm.

After watching the classic ANZAC Day game, Alwyn and Aaron Davey are not related. Completely different standards of football.

I have but wanted to keep the comments to myself as I don't want to come across as too much of a sniper.

???

44% disposal efficiency. Gets the ball 10 times gives it away 6. I am certain there are better options.

I not sure why so many just quotes stats when it blatantly obvious from what see. Alwyn Davey actually impacts the game focuses on his role and does not sulk or have attitude problems. Aaron Davey.....well........

There might be better options than the Davey brothers but atm I know which one I want and MFC does not have him.

Kind of sad where he is now isn't it......

Good move..

who knows Davey may return to his old Mickey Mouse form !!:)

Dreadful tone to this thread. Form does sometimes desert players, and there have been injury issues for Davey, too.

I reckon his form in rounds four and five shows an increase in intensity, improved fitness, some of his old style finishing and a willingness to run.

I think he could be on the way back bigtime.

The injury issues are a furphy. His attitude pre-dates his injury.

Very happy Mick M is mentoring Aaron though as at his best he can be a devastating player.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
