He's been rumoured all year to GWS but now It sounds more like Sydney. If he Is keen for a change we should be all over him IMO.

Fair call.. But we do need a FF?

Bingo. Don't need him. Jurrah, Watts, Petterd, Maric, Aussie, Green, Sylvia, Cook (in years to come).

If we want a forward, we need a hulking Chris Dawes or someone of that ilk...

Do we, really? Have you been going down to Casey this Year? If you haven't seen both Cook and Tom McDonald playing this season then you would know their just around the corner and they'll be needing spots to apply for.

All we need is a mature but aging 'Key Posi' Tall', as a backup, to use when needed, who plays genuinely Tall. Someone who'll be happy for the payday, and to Teach our kids the right way to play.

They'll both be up & about next year.

Would be great If we could get hulking Chris dawes type but they are few and far between. I think Walker Is the type a forward that draws the ball. he leads hard plus strong hands, good below his knees. I think he offers something diffrent to any of our forwards.

I go to casey a lot, Cook shows a bit and Im a massive wrap for Tom Mcdonald but Tommy has played back/ruck all year, hes not a forward. Cook may turn into something..

I think thats what they'd like Liam to become, the 3rd tall, but he's got a lot of hard work, to learn to do.

Yeah he is a forward. He can play both ends of the ground and has done with us, but is learning the defence atmo. And as you say, the ruck/follower role, harder to learn than straight defence.

I see him a bit like the OX, as a follower.... However its too soon to see where he will end up when we want to use him.

I like both of him & Cooky. Cooky I think could also make an Elite CHB. Exceptional field kicking to position, with great decision making/vision. Again plays both ends of the ground.

Posted

I hope your correct and Tom does end up playing both ends. Hopefully Fev & Juice wont be there next year and both Cook and Mcdonald can play forward.

No Juice won't be, he just hasn't done anymore this year & we haven't really needed to call on him with both Martin & Gawn playing better than hoped for. so maybe Juice did his Job in an about fashion.

The other boys could see Pre Season, they both needed to Lift there games to get positions in the Team. They Both did.

# As well, IMO Timmy Mohr has to be a strong chance to get onto an AFL list this Year, in an very average Draft Year,,,, And Warnock should definately in my book, get a gig somewhere on an AFL list.

So that could be Warnock/ TMohr/ Juice/ & Fev also would get on an AFL list somewhere. 4 talls at least off Casey's list,,, gives the places for Fitzpatrick, Davis, Mcdonald, Cook, and, maybe others? to come onto the list. Also Waite down there. Spencer, & Campbell.

Out of the MFC List I expect one of Dunn or Bate to make way as well this Year. One a year makes sense. The GWS incentives carry over for 2 Years.

And this year I think, (not sure) if GCSuns can still take uncontracted players?

This has to be one of the worst weeks in the history of our club, with Taylor Walker being the absolute cherry on the cake of dog poo.

I feel like crying.

I like Walker but would much prefer Dangerfield, who I understand linked his tenure to that of Neil Craig... surely would be a chance to return to Melbourne. I suspect both these guys would be in hot demand by lots of clubs... we should go hard.

LOL, thanks Jaded, I needed that laugh.

Dangerfield eh? That fella with the eggshell scone. Give me Walker over him anyday. He'll be out of the league in 5 yrs with a rattled brain how soft his head is.

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
