I was so totally opposed to the Hawks merger in 1996. I bought a Hawthorn membership every year as well as MFC until 2006 to "thank" Don Scott for saving Melbourne. Tonight, for the first time, I truly think we should have merged.

And that sucks.

It was embarrassing enough having the numbers of members who voted for this orginally bandied around in the papers without us bringing it up again. This was once a great club and it will be again. One loss, no matter how bad, will not change that. Go Dees!!
