Brad Green on twitter 1 hr ago "Our performance was unacceptable, the players take full responsibility... Be strong red and blue"

They better take full responsibility!!

It seems all you need to do these days is say "I take full responsibility" and that's that!

No Brad, there will be consequences for you too. Your leadership has been a disgrace this year and you and your mates just contributed to a decent man losing his job.

I honestly can't stand watching Brad Green at the moment.

I don't know if it's fair and maybe I'm just looking for a scapegoat because I'm disgusted and angry, but even watching him being interviewed on Ch. 9 tonight, he seems so apathetic, so unattached, even his responses were half-hearted.

Why does Jared Rivers have to face the media, when Green is the captain? It's embarrassing.

If the rot starts from the head and we are going to remove the senior members of our footy department, than certainly we should remove the senior members of our footy team.

I wonder if it's getting the captaincy, that he now feels 'complete', as a player, or if he's changed since becoming a dad.

But this year he's changed & isn't 'Going In' like he started doing over the last 2 seasons. I feel short changed by his poor efforts with the captaincy badge.

As far as I'm concerned, if this is the way he's intending to playout his career with us,,, then he can take the GWS maoney & run as well... We don't want a 'Bruise Free' skipper showing soft efforts to the kids.

Make a choice Brad!

Pure and simple - Brad is not a leader.

Whats making it worst is that it is impacting on his performance on the field. I want the Brad Green from last year back, the player that had the respect of all supporters.

I think all members of the leadership group should be replaced by watts, scully, trengove, mckenzie, frawley. Let our future stars take ownership over this club and let our "senior" players worry bout getting a kick.

Now that is a worry.

Don't some people realise that when you choose! to become a leader or take a position of authority that part of the deal is that you will become the target (scapegoat) for any type of scrutiny or applause. If you choose! to be the head coach or captain, the reason why you get more scutiny and bonuses (higher pay) is because you will be the target who will have to deal with things whether they go good or bad.

If we had won by 186 points everyone would be saying how great a coach Bailey is and how great a leader Green was. So how can anybody be suprised how the blame is firstly directed at them and why they are the first to go and first to take the most abuse.

People there is this place called the real world where underperforming managers of companys get fired, Higher ranking officers in the military get demoted because of the actions of their! underlings. Its the whole reason they are called leaders!

I was all for Green being given a chance as captain because his performance last year proved he deserved it, but he has failed miserably this year. Dean Bailey I thought was a good choice at first but he has proven that he was unable to take this team to a standard that was expected this year. So Bailey was always going to be the first to go if things went bad or the first to be praised if things went great.

This does not get people futher down the chain of Lightly (I hope) but its only 1 day since the game so come on people be realistic.

What did you expect?

Great call..............he absolutely isn't going in like he used to over the past few years, and that is the most galling part.

He should be going in harder than ever now he is the captain, not backing off, and waiting for the kids to do the grunt work!

'' We are all in this together and yeah I feel like we have let him down a little bit''.......jeez Brad sounds like you are doing it pretty tough mate. I'm with you n Jaded, I can't believe this is who our kids are looking up to! Step down tomorrow please!

Whay are you talking about.. Green been crap all year, in comparison to his last 2 seasons... It's out there for all to see.

Mate sorry if I haven't come across clear enough. Green has been crap, I said that he has failed miserably this year.

I just can't understand the people saying how sacking Bailey straight away is to soon and that we shouldn't be focusing mainly on Green as he wasn't the only one out there.

He was the only captain out there and Bailey is the top of the food chain. It's how it goes. Something had to be done straight away.

Like your thinking Pipe, however I would replace one Tom Scully with one Jack Grimes but the rest meet the criteria. Nows the time for those who want to be here to step forward and if mister "I'm holding all contract talks to the end of the season" Scully can't put pen to f@$?ing paper this week and show his true allegiance then we don't need him on the list much less the leadership group. These young fella's all show tremendous pride in their weekly performances and that's what this group of young men need to see as the fundamental element of playing for this club. Go dees, F$&k the rest.

Ah sorry Agent, I reads the first half, thinking you were promoting what Greens been dishing up, but couldn't be bothered reading any more of it. I assumed you were his Agent. LOL.
