8th spot gone

i did the ladder predictor and if we beat the suns, tigers and port twice i think we can scrape into 8th position (10 wins and a draw). Bulldogs 9th with 10 wins.

If Melbourne somehow make the eight then 9 of the needed 11 wins will have come from the bottom 5 teams. Not looking good.

yes making the 8 (what we considered to be a great target at the start of the year) would be a disaster

If that's how the year pans out and we play finals as a result, then i'd be disappointed. Because we wouldn't have ernt the right to be in the top eight. I'd only be happy for the MFC to play in the finals, if they win some games agains the top teams(Geelong, Hawthorn etc...).

If you did the ladder predictor last week, I wonder if you would have had the Bombers beating the Cats......

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.
