Game is scheduled for October I think.

I hope for the Rams sake you don't find out the hotel they are staying at. 🤣

They were saying early September, but we will see how it all pans out.

Tbh I thought the game here and then the teams head back to the US and then have a bye or the bye prior to coming out and then the teams play the Monday night.

Replete with the full Rams coaching gear with  playbook/clipboard in hand.  It's quite possible!

After a time, Gorg would be giving free advice to Stafford and McVay

Got my old Bradford top and my old LA hat from before the moved to St Louis and I'd take the headset off McVay and tell Stafford, just throw it to Kupp!

WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE TRADED KUPP!!!

FIRE WHAT EVER FLOGG APPROVED THAT!!!

Ok, plan B, get AD99 in as a running back and run it every play and let him kill the opposition! 🤣

If someone gave me $1k to bet on the SB then I'd probably back the Eagles ... but if it was my own money, I would have to back the Chiefs (in a close one)

KC 1-6

@DemonDave @layzie

Tips, gentlemen!

So what are we all doing re watching the SB?

I've been going to the same SB get-together for over 20 years now (on and off when work permits)

And my old cricket club has organised a SB function for over 10 years

My wife is in Melbourne for the next three days so I'm dropping her off then heading to the you yang's for a run/walk around that then heading home and watching the game, eating lots of food and having a few quite homebrews with my cats as company. Should be awesome!

I'm at the Timberyard in Port Melb. These big events are becoming a nice earner.

Chiefs 1-6 and I'd say Mahomes MVP but gonna be different and say Chris Jones MVP

I've a few bets and as always I go a little off the track.

MVP - AJ Brown

First TD is Goedart/Hopkins

But if I'm picking it it's Barkley MVP if Eagles win, Jones is KC win

First TD Barkley or Hunt

I'm just sitting down to it now, couple of bowls of olives for snacks/breakfast and waiting for the horrible singing to be done. (It's muted but I'm sure it's bad 🤣)

It was good until it wasn't.

Excellent D by the Eagles

Horrible call on McDuffie

2 early soft ref calls that cancel each other out?

Great throw by Hurts!

Yep, spot on

The first call on AJ I think is there on the second push of the face, it turns the head. It’s marginal but I thought it a foul in live play.

Incidental contact calls can ruin a game.  Just let the players play

The Tush Push!   TD to the Eagles

Eagles D is getting to Mahomes pretty well already.

Getting in his face every time!

  • NON-MFC: Round 12

Round 12 kicks off with the Brisbane hosting Essendon at the Gabba as the Lions aim to solidify their top-two position against an injury-hit Bombers side seeking to maintain momentum after a win over Richmond. On Friday night it's a blockbuster at the G as the Magpies look to extend their top of the table winning streak while the Hawks strive to bounce back from a couple of recent defeats and stay in contention for the Top 4. On Saturday the Suns, buoyed by 3 wins on the trot, face the Dockers in a clash crucial for both teams' aspirations this season. The Suns want to solidify their Top 4 standing whilst the Dockers will be desperate to break into the 8.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
