Vick and Reid as chiefs isn't a bad setup compared to what the chiefs have had. Vick can count himself lucky there are no Rg3's or Luck's in the draft this year. By the way who is there in the draft as a QB this year? Geno Smith? I think is one. I don't watch much college games does anyone know who and at what picks the QB class of 2013 will be?

Out of my league on the QB's 'cfh' . I occasionally tune into a College game but not with any real interest . It's unbelievably big over there isn't it ?

Found this link for the top QB prospects but I know nothing about them . There's only a few on this list - lean year for QB's apparently .

Here's the now 'infamous' Rex Ryan bicep tattoo . A picture of a woman who bears a striking resemblance to his wife in a Mark Sanchez jersey . A more bizarre sight I have never seen . Ridiculous (but highly amusing)

Of course, it might be a fake . I hope it isn't though -_- Here's Stephen A Smith and Skip Bayless with their take on it ... Rex Ryan's tattoo - real or fake?

This weekend's games ... Monday is part of the weekend in January right ? -_-

Sunday, Jan. 6 (wild card round)

8.30am — Cincinnati at Houston
12.00pm — Minnesota at Green Bay

Monday, Jan. 7 (wild card round)

5:00am — Indianapolis at Baltimore
8:30am — Seattle at Washington

Seriously that tattoo has to be fake. If it's real he needs some mental health expert to put him in a padded room asap.

It's all or nothing tomorrow hey 'cfh' ? . By 3.30pm or thereabouts one of us is gonna be elated, the other not so much ! I'll be kicking off from about 7.30 - 8.00 am (ish) . Good coffee and cinnamon donuts at the ready !

I can't find a definite winner out of any of the 4 games .

Apparently it's going to be below freezing in Green Bay for the game .

I'm happy with the vikes season either way but I would love ponder to show last weeks form so his confidence grows. I've got my whole day planned around football my poor wife doesn't get a break from me watching football all year round. My Peterson guernsey finally came in the mail yesterday it's either a good sign or I have jinxed him.

Yep, there's more pressure on the Packers to win this game . So much is going to depend on the 1st quarter .

Tight game in Houston . The Bengals can't get into the red zone but they're still in it .

Ponder out! Joe Webb in. Webb can run the ball as good as RG3. His throws are as good as a Rex Ryan tattoo though. This will be interesting.

Wow ! That is big news .

Still nothing in this game at Houston . This drive will tell a story . If the Texans can get a score it will make it very hard for the Bengals . 9 minutes left .

Just not convinced with Houston. They play a bit like the vikes. They have a good running game and defense but these playoffs will get a lot tougher and schaub will have to step up

Houston are at a rested New England next week . You never know in this sport but on the surface of it, the Pats would have to be strong favourites . It's been known for the conditions to get quite awful at Gillette stadium (at this time of year) so that has to be factored in .

Looks like quite clear conditions at Lambeau - albeit freezing !

Good luck 'cfh' and may the better team win ! (don't want any iffy decisions - either way)

Certainly don't want any fail Mary calls. Good luck macca if only vikes and packers fans could be this civil. No alcohol will be served from the 3rd quarter onwards. They may be worried about a riot.

I think the vikes are establishing the run a little.

Looks like for GB it's death by AP, death by run with Ponder out. 33 yards for AP already!

Webb can run too. His highlights are full of running TD's let's see if he can throw

You can say that again ! It's a worry (already)

3 and out for the Pack ...

Bloody hell Webb. Throwing the ball straight up when being tackled will give me a heart attack.

It was up in the air for an eternity - think it was Matthews that looked at it as if stunned - just catch it Clay !

Vikes defense are playing too deep and Rogers is doing what he needs to do. Nothing fancy about screen passes but it's getting the job done

Dare I say it - you miss Ponder .

Vikes obviously need some passing yards . Interesting how Green Bay's defence has played Peterson - forced him wide to the sidelines a lot .

Oh yeah I miss ponder. Webb looks lost in the pocket. Ponder complements Peterson with his short throws.

it's more than not having a qb, vikes defense has become non-existent. gb passing at will

The best way to stop Rogers is to not give him the ball. Last week the vikes had possession of the ball. The 3 and outs are giving Rogers good field position.

It's almost impossible to stop Rodgers when he's on song . Brady is virtually perfect but Aaron is right up there .

Ponder has been missed - he's had some good games this year and last week he was terrific . The Vikes balance has been thrown out on offence . Minnesota started well but the Packers have brought their A game today

All I can do is laugh what else can go wrong?

It often happens like that .

You missed Ponder badly, the Packers defence stepped it up, Peterson was somewhat subdued by his standards (although 99 yards is still an excellent game) and Rodgers and the offence did their job .

The Vikings have had a good year and I would have taken any sort of win today.

Packers played very well and looked a lot more structured against the run. Webb was a disaster. Rodgers is just so damn good and our only chance was to get good field position and pressure the QB but we couldn't get it done. I'm still happy. To watch AP all year was awesome.

I think the packers look so much stronger with healthy receivers all over the field. Maybe another wildcard to superbowl appearance?

It's fair to say purple pride has gone into meltdown. On one side is the " I told you Webb and Ponder are no good" and the other side is "Ponder is a [censored]".

  • CASEY: Sydney

The Casey Demons were always expected to emerge victorious in their matchup against the lowly-ranked Sydney Swans at picturesque Tramway Oval, situated in the shadows of the SCG in Moore Park. They dominated the proceedings in the opening two and a half quarters of the game but had little to show for it. This was primarily due to their own sloppy errors in a low-standard game that produced a number of crowded mauls reminiscent of the rugby game popular in old Sydney Town. However, when the Swans tired, as teams often do when they turn games into ugly defensive contests, Casey lifted the standard of its own play and … it was off to the races. Not to nearby Randwick but to a different race with an objective of piling on goal after goal on the way to a mammoth victory. At the 25-minute mark of the third quarter, the Demons held a slender 14-point lead over the Swans, who are ahead on the ladder of only the previous week's opposition, the ailing Bullants. Forty minutes later, they had more than fully compensated for the sloppiness of their earlier play with a decisive 94-point victory, that culminated in a rousing finish which yielded thirteen unanswered goals. Kicks hit their targets, the ball found itself going through the middle and every player made a contribution.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

Hands up if you thought, like me, at half-time in yesterday’s game at TIO Traeger Park, Alice Springs that Melbourne’s disposal around the ground and, in particular, its kicking inaccuracy in front of the goals couldn’t get any worse. Well, it did. And what’s even more damning for the Melbourne Football Club is that the game against St Kilda and its resurgence from the bottomless pit of its miserable start to the season wasn’t just lost through poor conversion for goal but rather in the 15 minutes when the entire team went into a slumber and was mugged by the out-of-form Saints. Their six goals two behinds (one goal less than the Demons managed for the whole game) weaved a path of destruction from which they were unable to recover. Ross Lyon’s astute use of pressure to contain the situation once they had asserted their grip on the game, and Melbourne’s self-destructive wastefulness, assured that outcome. The old adage about the insanity of repeatedly doing something and expecting a different result, was out there. Two years ago, the score line in Melbourne’s loss to the Giants at this same ground was 5 goals 15 behinds - a ratio of one goal per four scoring shots - was perfectly replicated with yesterday’s 7 goals 21 behinds.
This has been going on for a while and opens up a number of questions. I’ll put forward a few that come to mind from this performance. The obvious first question is whether the club can find a suitable coach to instruct players on proper kicking techniques or is this a skill that can no longer be developed at this stage of the development of our playing group? Another concern is the team's ability to counter an opponent's dominance during a run on as exemplified by the Saints in the first quarter. Did the Demons underestimate their opponents, considering St Kilda's goals during this period were scored by relatively unknown forwards? Furthermore, given the modest attendance of 6,721 at TIO Traeger Park and the team's poor past performances at this venue, is it prudent to prioritize financial gain over potentially sacrificing valuable premiership points by relinquishing home ground advantage, notwithstanding the cultural significance of the team's connection to the Red Centre?

After kicking the first goal of the match the Demons were always playing catch up against the Saints in Alice Spring and could never make the most of their inside 50 entries to wrestle back the lead.
