Rams Seahawks massive implications all over the place. Rams off to a good start.

Looks like Seattle haven't got over losing last week.

I'm a little bit worried about Dallas now.

Jeez the finish in the Pats/Steelers game. Thought that wasn't a TD but the ball should have been placed at the 1 yard line?

Thanks 49ers for beating the Titans.

Did the Steelers player have control of the ball then fumble it?

Not sure. I was watching Redzone on my phone and could not tell if control was lost, but his knee was down with the ball short of the endzone. I'm not completely across the rule for catches and knee down. Running play would have been ruled down at the 1.

Not sure anyone knows what a catch is Clint ... 'upstairs' adjudications can vary to say the least!

Edit:  Having now seen the catch/non catch I reckon they need to clean the ruling up.

I believe the Steelers player caught the ball and was in control of the ball when it broke the plane ... so it's a TD.  The ball can be dislodged in other ways when the ball has broken the plane but in those situations the TD is given.

So make the ruling uniform.

I actually tried to put $10 on the rams to win by 13+ points and $5 first score being ram fg. The machine did not take my tenner so I decided to just put 5 on win by 13+ at $8.25 :)

Happy happy Ram right now!

Barring a minor miracle the AFC will be decided through New England ... if NE had have lost today they would have fallen to the 3 seed.  But opposition teams often make basic errors against them - time & time again.

Today Pittsburgh didn't double-team Gronk enough which gave the Pats an easy TD and then the Steelers needlessly turned the ball over right at the death.  And then there's 'that' catch which was overturned.  As a result of all that the Pats are on track to win the AFC again (at least)  Of late,  only 2 AFC contenders (KC & the Ravens) have won in Foxborough.

Over in the NFC the Rams have put their foot down ... so much so that they might have knocked Seattle out of the playoffs completely.  The Seahawks,  Cowboys & Detroit all need Atlanta to slip up now ... or one of the other 10 & 4 NFC South teams.

The Eagles have secured a bye going into the playoffs and should be able to hold on to the 1 seed in the NFC.  The Vikes are gearing up for the playoffs whilst the Saints & Panthers both should make it.

I reckon any number of teams can win the NFC - it might come down to who gets hot at the right time.

Looks like your new avatar is bringing you good fortune Gorgo ha ha

You'd have to lose your last 2 and Seattle would need to win their last 2 in order for the Rams to not win the NFC West.

I've worked the playoff machine a number of times and I've got the Rams winning the NFC West and getting the 3 or 4 seed each time.

Meanwhile,  the Eagles only need to win 1 of their last 2 games to secure the 1 seed.  As it stands,  the Vikes should get a bye in the playoffs as well with just 1 more win from their last 2 although the Panthers can get the 2 seed if they win out.

The other real interest lies with the 2 wild-cards in the NFC & with the AFC.  Any number of teams are in the mix and those spots almost certainly won't be decided until the last week of the season.

You're right - the Vikes would have to lose their last 2 and that's unlikely ... they've got the Bears at home in week 17 preceded by a visit to Lambeau next week.

Falcons were not convincing today.

Yeah we're not going past the WC week if we make the playoffs.. Bucs were missing multiple starters & copped a ton of injuries during the game not to mention the Bucs are a 4-10 team who haven't had a bye this year & we were coming off a mini bye playing TNF to MNF & our defense looked gassed and our offense is shell of 2016. If the Bucs kicked that game tieing FG I reckon we lose. The saints will demolish us this week

Unfortunately for you guys you have the saints and the Panthers. Very hard games, but they just might be what you need to get going.

Only 1 point on offer this week but week 17 has 3 points up for grabs ... Any of the top 3 can still win (outright or joint winner) but Clint does hold a strong advantage.

Some excellent match-ups again this week ... Bills @ Pats,  Falcons @ Saints,  Rams @ Titans & Seahawks @ Dallas amongst them.

6 road teams stand out as potential winners ... The Rams,  Pittsburgh & the Chargers are strongly favoured.
