[censored] Jags, I just lost my bet cos they let the last TD in.

Bahaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Jags, wow. Anytime to go into Pittsburgh & win is big but to do it in a playoff game.. Hats off to them. Congrats Clint. I actually think the Jags defense could give the Pats & Brady some trouble.

Just shows as others have posted above, all our teams(I think) in this forum have had some recent success as in making the playoffs in the last 2 seasons alone... Would be hard to say the same about the AFL with a group of different supporter bases.

Bikes were great 8n the first half, starting the second half well. Want to see them attack and not try and slow the game or hold it up. Only 17 pts.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnndddddd just like that, 21-20 to th3 saints with 3:01left.

Feels to me like Vikings will get a FG... And it'll be Brees with about 30 seconds or something...

Lots of Eagles fans want Vikings to win.

Nope. He misses the tackle and takes out his own player behind. Doubt he would have caught Diggs but...

wow

Oh my god... Just when you think you've seen it all in this sport

I thought we could win but did not think it would take 45 points. Saw about half the game so will be watching both replays tonight.

Had he just slowed up and put his arms out he'd have at least stopped him where he caught it. I sort of get why he tried to barrel him... to cause a drop and incomplete pass instead of what looked like a gettable field goal... But man it looked bad. he didn't touch him at all.

He could have just wrapped him up in a tackle & it would have been over.. They wouldn't of had time to get to the line & clock the ball for a FG attempt. All he litreally had to do was hold him up where he was & the Saints win the ball game

Bortles, Foles, Keenum... Brady

Man I hope the Jags win so it’s two of the first 3 in the Superbowl.

It's pick the Pats to win and hope you get it wrong.  That's how I'm viewing it.

I give the Jags a puncher's chance ... maybe more of a chance than I would have given the Steelers.  New England are -9.5 point favourites.

As for the NFC Championship game - that's a toss of the coin even though the Vikings are -3.5 point favourites.

I reckon Diggs would have managed to dive over the line, seeing as he did land on his feet. But yes. Either way... It's the right move. What I mean was I think he was going glorytown. Hit him hard down the middle and shake him up... making the ball drop incomplete. It wasn't the right move, but I can sort of see how the blood would have rushed to his head. What's stunning is that these are some of the most high pressure athletes in the world today. That poor kid will be replaying that the rest of his life.

Leaderboard in the Comp (post-season)

5 - Macca

4 - Go the Biff,  Dappa Dan

3 - JV7,  Clintosaurus,  Gorgoroth

Remembering that it's 2 points for each winner in the Championship games with 3 points up for grabs for the Super Bowl winner.

I'm actually in line for the 3-peat in the post-season tipping comp ... not bad for the world's worst tipster.

The saving grace is that it didn't happen in a Super Bowl.

The Seahawks not handing the ball off to beast-mode in the dying seconds of that Super Bowl will haunt that organisation and their fans forever.

And I still maintain a 60/40 stance on last year's SB - the comeback by the Pats was greater than Atlanta blowing that lead.  Many will disagree of course but I don't believe any other team could have come back from a 28 - 3 deficit in a SB.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
