Ewwwww, MNF wonโ€™t be a great one.

TNF will make up for it. Wentz vs Newton. Who are we picking in THAT one?

We all only need make one pick this week. No way anyone isn't picking the Pack and Pats with their first two.

ย

Yeah,ย  you're right Dappa,ย  it's finding that 3rd road winner that's tricky.ย  However, would any of us be surprised if the Pats or Packers lost?

Seeing we're on a new page,ย  here are the games again ...

Yeah canโ€™t wait for Fridayโ€™s game. Should beย a Cracker.

As the yanks are apt to say,ย  Friday's game could be a barn-burner.ย

I'll go for a scoreline of 32 - 29 in the Panthers favour ... home field decides it.ย  If the game was played in Philly,ย  reverse the scores.

Big talk. You should tip them, right?ย

Should... Might...ย

Prob won't... Ha ha

I'm hoping the Eagles get up.. ย

Pats

Steelers

Packers

I probably shouldn't tip this early, but it's one of those weeks.

Pats and Packers and...

Bucs.

Patriots

Packers

Rams

On the Rams!!!

Brave. I don't trust our ability against the run yet. It has been much better last two weeks but jags run it so well.ย

Anyone gutsy enough to pick Eagles?

Caught most of the 1st half today... Both QB were under pressure from the defenses, and Carolina couldn't get any run game going.. The 1st interception from Newton which was a huge play made by Cox sort of turned the tide. Didn't see any of the 2nd half though, good road win for Philly

The run D was startling from the Eagles. Dropped them in the backfield more often than not. I think they ended up averaging 3 inches per run play. That in turn led to Cam having more pass attempts than any game in his career. Eagles corners did enough, even though they were one on one... then Cam got hurt on an almost TD run... And he couldn't throw right at the end.

Was an absorbing game, but not one for the highlights.

Not that we care. 5-1!!!!!

If you said to me at this stage Eagles would be on 5 wins and Dallas, Giants and Skins would have 2 or less I'd have laughed in your face. And add to that Zeke is going to be out for 6 weeks!

It'll still go down to the wire, the NFC East... But as of an hour ago, Eagles are the favourite. Couldn't be more pumped.

My take on todayโ€™s game that I tipped the eagles would win.

Just didnโ€™t post it as one of my tips... idiot. Ha ha

Eagles D v the run was immense. So so good.

Wentz hits third downs like I sit on the couch. I canโ€™t beloeve how many he hits.

The penalties against the eagles was terrible, then the same not called against the panthers.

Eagles did their best on offence to throw the game late, but Iโ€™m stoked they beat the Panthers.

Not just third downs, but third and 10+... At one point last week he hit 3x3rd and 11s... I dunno. Surely that's not a tactical thing, but just a bit of luck. Fell back to the pack a bit this week. 35% hit rate or so.

Man... the week 14 game vs the Rams is going to be a helluva thing. I reckon by that stage both our divisions will be praying for a win.

If your run D is as good as it was tonight we are fooked.ย

McCaffrey 10 receptions. Also, Gurley 'aint as bad as Stewart.

Also I'd take your WRs over Panthers WRs.

Itโ€™s funny thinking we have better WRโ€™s than anyone...

I laughed. Then I thought about it... If they're not #1 in terms of names... they're not far off.

Rams - Watkins, Gurley, Kupp, Woods, Austin

Packers - Nelson, Cobb, Adams, Bennett

Steelers - Brown, Bryant (you have to include them)

Giants - OBJ, Sheperd, Marshall, Engram

Cowboys - Dez, Beasley, Witten maybe?

Falcons - Jones and it doesn't matter who else?

Patriots - Edelman, Cooks, Hogan

Broncos - Thomas and Sanders

Raiders - Crabtree, Cooper, Lynch

Bucs - Evans, Brate, DJax, Howard

They're the ones that jump out at me. Eagles have good ones with Ertz, Jeffrey, Agholor... but too early to put them up with the big boys.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmyโ€™s inclusive bannerโ€”"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwoodโ€™s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.ย

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isnโ€™t a standard conceptโ€”itโ€™s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.
